@ZeroWithSlashedO that means i cant post a link to a plane with less part so i will just post my potato parts plane here then. i find it hard to reduce performace cost. so the maximum here is still 2000 now? i have seen people getting away with it at 2700 here. my plane is like around 2700 now. how about i will just post it at 2700 then if u want to enjoy it further just throw away something.
@ZeroWithSlashedO i have 99% finished with my non-tvc entry last week maybe better than most if not all guyfolk's non-tvc plane. but it has high parts. do u think i can get away with it if i post it and also include a link of the same plane with lower parts??
@ChiChiWerx i don't know. sometimes i wonder how close aerodynamic details and physics rules were represented in the codes. like if all behavior are shape based/ area base in relative to oncoming airflow. i had made planes with extreme washout (almost but less than 10 degrees) that seems to be ignored by in game physics. (sorry havent put that plane in my profile yet but will let u know if it's available later). and yes i have been testing the in game physics to some extent i am happy like 99% of the time tho. but then many things are hard-coded in a way so even the so called aerodynamics have lots that have been omitted, i need to be careful of my designs so i dont come up with things that work ideally irl but not here ;) i havent tested the area rule yet but i think i am going to
@ChiChiWerx sometimes the lifting body effect is done well by people who hide extra wings in places like intake ducts or main fuse. here in sp we have brilliant people defying all sorts of sp physics to mimic real physics
@ChiChiWerx yea, i knew how it happened. an old documentary explained everything down to the design details. thanks a lot. i had the luck going over it a long time ago. just that the sp physics is not going to make the replication simple.
@DroneDroneTheBoi yes. but i mean i need the code to locate and aim for the incoming missile. i haven seen any code like this yet. i mean i want it to be automatic like that laser cannon at the base. not a manual one.
@Gestour heard u destroyed the codes of the laser defense at the ice base assault. i would like to know where i can find the code to make an aa missile defense myself :p
@DroneDroneTheBoi if they can erase the code is there anyway i can use that code just to put it to my use and defend incoming missiles? have been looking for a way to do that. where's the code at?
i hate doing this tho i will probably just do something like this but dang it works on all range so i better be careful on what i ask for but it does work like magic: (removes wobble, have an inversely proportional function relative to ias which is great, and restriction that works much harder as ias increases): shown not to be related to the function above but shows my idea
((Pitch/(8* (1+IAS* IAS/11000))) - (PitchRate/(120*(1+IAS/120)))
better yet, it's a bit more linear and predictable skipping to the next range
(it's on a plane not yet in my profile, a good plane without tvc)
IAS is determined by the dynamic pressure (read off from pitot tube), most pilots do like IAS better because the airplane is gonna behave similarly at the same IAS at the same aoa.
@SkyJayTheFirst if u dont mind breaking the rules of physics u can always funky those tiny wing's properties too. but i dont do that i mostly try to see how sp physics works on my airframe to check out my design integrity
@SkyJayTheFirst or u can use movable front edges like me to see if u can shift that CoL momentarily forward during manuevers (supposedly) but making those can be time consuming, but u will like it. ft them will be tricky however
@GuyFolk i would say the 1.4 thrust ratio has made us all slow dancers. but then we still do dance beautifully. btw all u have are tvc'ed psm planes? i havent seen any non-tvc ones downloadable from your list;
u are right when u said no one have ever seen such a big thing on the dash on planes. but if u know how to use it this is one of the only things u will ever need to stay in the air, of course unless a mountain says otherwise, this is one of the most useful instruments literally i make sure i can see it.
watch this pilot trainee flying "blindfolded" starting at 13:50.
well, flying without looking around is an actual flying skill. theres an actual curriculum, it's an actual thing that saves people from the top deadly plane crash scenario. actually flying without looking outside is what top pilot in real life learn how to do before the weather says otherwise. if u know how to fly real planes especially a commercial one you will know how little looking outside really means to flying. look up instrument flight rule to learn more. when u fly real plane u actually have lots of time looking outside is the same as looking at a wall
@GriseoCattus do u mean ComradeKaiser7? he would have been a much happier man with my planes after he sees the difference between my x5b-2b and x5f... seriously. x5b-2b wasnt even funky treed. i am only 1 months into this simpleplane thing and already made like 20 new plane designs. i dont have a life anymore lol
@ZeroWithSlashedO it's funny how people complains about my instruments tho. but i think its ok 99.9% of the people here dont fly real planes and even 99% of real pilots are not good with IFR and dont know how to use the ROC meter. they just dont know how important that big clock thing on the right does. i can eat my whole dinner flying these planes without looking outside the window or crash or both just by looking at that. 99% of the people will die doing what i do, flying without looking outside. this is REAL piloting skill. look up IFR on youtube or internet. i only wish i can implement a better looking ILS to improve realism. then I can do a thick fog landing (yes 20 feet visibility) on carrier. its funny when people complained about the handling of the earlier versions of my plane when i can land them all on carrier. but then i agree i find it difficult to do too on a phone. i had done my earlier testing using a flight stick... now i have to buy 2 copies of sp... smhlol
@ZeroWithSlashedO but u said only the final product counts? the old planes are quite a bit different from the very first day i submitted, big changes, u are gonna test all again after the real deadline right? i think all planes have only been coded/funky treed after he tested. codings are the last thing i do. i make agile airframes (sometimes uncontrollable) first, then put fly by wire in at the end, i believe all the planes he tested were not funky treed yet.
@54188mzx 前进,前进,前进,进!
+2that gun is the closest thing i have seen on sp to peeing... lol
@xNotDumb thanks for the bronze!

@ChiChiWerx
oh i see there's a typo, some how i cut and pasted a double
here you go again

looks like a centipede to me, and flies like one.
now i am scared
@ChiChiWerx yea, i knew how it happened. an old documentary explained everything down to the design details. thanks a lot. i had the luck going over it a long time ago. just that the sp physics is not going to make the replication simple.
i am gonna reproduce the famous sabre dance on this thing
in addition to what everyone says here, lower wing loading also helps. but lower wing loading also make your plane slower flying in straight lines
@F104Deathtrap i only slapped 6
@DroneDroneTheBoi yes. but i mean i need the code to locate and aim for the incoming missile. i haven seen any code like this yet. i mean i want it to be automatic like that laser cannon at the base. not a manual one.
@SimplyPlain theres actually flying elephants and flying lawnmowers in real life if u give them enough power and control
@EngineerOtaku i could do it without wings, tvc has entered the chat
i am the 1001th download.
@Gestour i wish i can peek into the codes how they aim for the missiles... lol
@YYEE beacon sound barrier? i knew its gonna happen some day
+2nice coloring scheme. reminds me of tron.
+1@GuyFolk i think the inverselerp argument is great but is set to a range, so u need a function for each separate range. like this:
GS<250 ? ( lerp(0.18, 0.05, inverselerp(100,250,GS)) ) : ( GS<400 ? lerp(0.05, 0.025, inverselerp(250,400,GS)) : lerp(0.025, 0.01, inverselerp(400,650,GS)) )
i hate doing this tho i will probably just do something like this but dang it works on all range so i better be careful on what i ask for but it does work like magic: (removes wobble, have an inversely proportional function relative to ias which is great, and restriction that works much harder as ias increases): shown not to be related to the function above but shows my idea

+1(it's on a plane not yet in my profile, a good plane without tvc)
i really need this thanks
+1i know how to ft fix high speed wobble just ask
@Th3rmoplylae sure do
how do i change the sequence so it always turn and drop the one on the bottom in one direction?
imagine what we gonna have if he says:
anything with wings.
and gyroscope accepted.
@Th3rmoplylae even if its not allowed i think i am waiting for your helicopter
so, did i read: supermaneuverability.
which to my understanding: including, but not limited to psm.
any extra credit for not using tvc?
btw, limited to how many entries per person??
why isnt the sabre dance listed in known problems? ;)
IAS is determined by the dynamic pressure (read off from pitot tube), most pilots do like IAS better because the airplane is gonna behave similarly at the same IAS at the same aoa.
u just cant not upvote this one
+2@MrShenanigans2020 works a lot better than the ones that spins like fans
@SkyJayTheFirst if u dont mind breaking the rules of physics u can always funky those tiny wing's properties too. but i dont do that i mostly try to see how sp physics works on my airframe to check out my design integrity
@ZeroWithSlashedO a decent digital map is gonna drive the performance cost up by 700 sir.
@SkyJayTheFirst or u can use movable front edges like me to see if u can shift that CoL momentarily forward during manuevers (supposedly) but making those can be time consuming, but u will like it. ft them will be tricky however

funky codes reminds me of my hate of computer science & programming in general.
if not for the love of airplanes/flying custom builds i wouldn't be coding.
his braincell probably mostly gone because of flying my earlier wip planes with no funky codes. now my planes are fine,.
+1know that for a while.
+2i even get to travel at lightspeed and killed brown pearl from the wright airport lol
just dont pull the ejection seat like we all do here in sp ok?
and the starting sequence is supposed to be battery on > apu on > wait > engine on. lol
@CarrotSlicingCompanyCat its easy, i can even kill my engine facing certain directions/pitch angle
@ZeroWithSlashedO btw how much more points if the plane has no tvc??? i find it exponentially difficult to make, but i love making one.
