Ah okay, cool, thanks. I’ll pull it apart and see if I can learn something. Also, btw, I lied earlier :/ the Skychaser is still my favorite. But part count is too high for my machine so I forget about it sometimes. @MrSilverWolf
This is my favorite plane of yours yet, which is saying a lot. I’m gonna go ahead and speak for the entire SP community and say thank you for enriching our lives with such brilliant builds.
One technical question; what functional parts did you use for the flaps (not the cosmetic flaps), and how are they setup? I noticed how they function in a more realistic way (I think), where ~0 to 3/4 the nose pitches up increasingly, but >3/4, the nose starts to pitch back down, and drag increases more significantly. Is there an air brake part involved?
Thank you for posting, as usual, I am so impressed.
I think maybe ppl are overlooking this build because it is very hard to see in the first upload photo? Maybe you could repost with a different screenshot that’s more visible? It’s an awesome build.
Haha. Yeah I’ve been commenting and upvoting here and there, but I’ve still yet to have posted a new build since my return home. It may be slow going right now, as I seem to have lost a bit of my building vigor and gumption, but I promise it’s forthcoming! Also, thanks for lookin out for me :) @Gameboi14
This is a spectacularly great build. Usually builds with mechanical linkages/control surfaces look very clunky, and often are slightly disappointing in performance. This build looks fantastic and flies incredibly well. Your skills never cease to amaze me!
Hey man, where are the air brakes in this thing (the functional part, not the cosmetic/custom ones)? I’ve been looking all around in there so I can change the controls to better suit mobile play, and I can’t seem to find them...
I know the part count is already a bit high, at least for mobile, but I’d love to see a cockpit in this! I was thinking about dropping one of @sarpanitu’s mini pre-fabbed cockpits in there, since they are awesome and it would be an easy install. @RamboJutter
If you can remember to do so, I’d love it if you tagged me on that post! Although, if not that’s cool, as I’m pretty sure I’ll see it on my jet stream anyway. @ForeverPie
Nice little plane, good job! I would recommend that you move the CoM backward, until it’s pretty much on top of the CoL (using ballast in the rear, or xml editing). That should help the nose diving problem (it takes almost full pitch up just to fly level), and will also make the plane more maneuverable:)
Awesome, thank you sir! Those look fantastic! Looks like a good way to come up with new ideas for builds too! It’s like the “what would you like to build?” catalogue haha. @RamboJutter
Oh hahah. I think it’s actually Little Nellie, but I’m not 100% sure, I guess I’ll have to look it up before I post (which won’t be for a while haha). @AerialFighterSnakes
Haha yeah. Definitely oversized with respect to the frame. And it goes a lot faster than the real M1 too! (which is meaningless, of course, because the scale is all wrong haha ). @iwannabeelected
Wow this is fantastic! Are you not going to finish it? If so, that’s a shame. I hope someone else takes a crack at it. I’m not sure if I’m up to the challenge myself... I’ve never built any wwii era planes. Although this would be a good starting point if I wanted to.
Mostly, I typed all that out in hopes that it will help you with your build using this engine. Not so much that you need all that info just to fly my little plane haha. @CRJ900Pilot

+2Awesome! That is very helpful, thanks for the tips! @iwannabeelected
Ahh yes I’m dumb. Bad habit of not reading descriptions. Good job anyway lol. @TheFantasticTyphoon
Sweet little truck! Fun, cool styling. Maybe just a tad more hpwr?

+1This is not getting enough attention. Not even close.
Lots of fun, I love it! Great work!

+2Haha. I might just cheat and install a gyro. @Mumpsy
Very very cool although I can’t figure out how to land the thing without an immediate nosedive... any tips?
Cool! What are all those springs inside the fuselage for?
Cool thanks! :) @ForeverPie
Ah yes, thanks. Dunno how I missed them lol. Thought I looked there but evidently not. @RamboJutter
Build is unique and creative, flight characteristics are very flat, straight, stable, and predictable. Great job man!
Fun! Crazy... but fun! Just how ZZ Top would want it I think!
+1Nice work!
Congrats on gold!!

Absolutely. It takes some building experience to understand how difficult that is, and how well you executed it. @RamboJutter
If you can remember to do so, I’d love it if you tagged me on that post! Although, if not that’s cool, as I’m pretty sure I’ll see it on my jet stream anyway. @ForeverPie
Lol k @benjamindowning
Wow great build. Really nice contouring/craftsmanship. I love it!

This whole family of planes is just a treat to fly, great job sir :)
+1Well certainly not moving parts! Haha @MAHADI
Also, it seems to be more powerful when flying a plane that has been scaled down in size and mass @ThePrototype
Ah, yes. Me too. iOS, high phys and 1.8. That is helpful thanks. @ThePrototype
Haha yeah it’s a bit too big. But when I scaled it something got messed up, so I just left it full scale haha @MAHADI
Oh haha I must’ve misunderstood but yes you should :) @jamesPLANESii
Awesome, thank you for all the tips, that is really helpful! Also that designer suite is super awesome. Where can I find your tutorial? @jamesPLANESii
+1Awesome, thank you sir! Those look fantastic! Looks like a good way to come up with new ideas for builds too! It’s like the “what would you like to build?” catalogue haha. @RamboJutter
Ok, thanks, I’ll check those out! @Brields95
What do you mean by ‘counter’? @randomusername
Hmm. Well sometimes, when you stop and start the engine, it may start running backwards. @Vrferret
Awesome!! Do you mind if I still build on it anyway? @WrightAirCo
Hey, man, times are changing! Gotta keep up to stay competitive lol @randomusername
+1Oh hahah. I think it’s actually Little Nellie, but I’m not 100% sure, I guess I’ll have to look it up before I post (which won’t be for a while haha). @AerialFighterSnakes
If I ever finish it haha :/ @Kungfuevan
Cool! Lotta prop torque. Here’s the trim solution I was suggesting.
You Only Live Twice @Kungfuevan
Thanks man :) @AerialFighterSnakes
Ahhhh the jig is up!! @AerialFighterSnakes
Haha yeah. Definitely oversized with respect to the frame. And it goes a lot faster than the real M1 too! (which is meaningless, of course, because the scale is all wrong haha ). @iwannabeelected
I’m working on a little gyro that made an appearance in a classic film ;) @Kungfuevan

@Treadmill103 thanks a bunch man!
