when i first downloaded and flew this... holy hell, the speed, stability, and manueverability are like in perfect symbiosis, everything matches together, it all makes sense, this is brilliant to fly and look at, i love it
ye
i think the amount of gears should be adjustable with sliders, with a maximum of like 16 (for trucks and industrial vehicle) and a minimum of 1 (for Regera and stuff), and obviously the gear ratios would also have to be sliders
@Nerfaddict
sorry to say this, but unfortunately i won't be able to participate in the challenge, as i have far too many things to do both in real life and in video games, so please exclude me from the competition
@Thelegitpilot13
combine a fictional craft with a real one, maybe like the X-02 from AC combined with the F-14, would be very interesting to see a craft that has basically every lifting surface on it change
you can make the rotator's input TAS>x, with X being the true airspeed in m/s (mach 1 is equivalent to 343 m/s, so set the input to TAS>343 if you want it to move over mach 1)
i've uploaded the latest version as an unlisted here, i'll leave the link open just in case anyone would like to try their hand at adjusting it, just please don't change anything on the appearance
i see, i'll go experiment with it @TheFlightGuySP
the craft already has 3D TVC built-in, with basically every engine that generates propulsion being attached to the nozzle, however it barely even adds anything @Griffon1
i forgot to mention, the craft uses a hybrid combo of both real rotating surfaces (i.e. wings hidden inside custom airfoil design) and the old-school hidden wings inside body tactic, got any idea how to make that work?
also, it may or may not be due to this exact setup, but moving the CoM closer to CoL actually decreases the turn rate lol
@TheFlightGuySP
i might try making a production (X)B-70 Valkyrie or some other "fast and deadly" prototype, we'll see
anyways, i'm expecting half of the posts in the challenge to be that one micro parasite fighter lol
i think it's definitely the overall "shape" of the main object in question that determines how good or bad it looks, i decided to use the keyword "exoplanet" (all lowercase) and the results were quite good
@IICXLVIICDLXXXIIIDCXLVII
to get the different names, go into the XML editor, go to the "Missile" tab, press the little + button to add a parameter, in the first field write name, in the second simply write the name you want to be shown
for custom missiles, there are a handful of tutorials out there, but you basically have to do something like this:
1. get out the missile, a pylon, a detacher, and the starting point of the body
2. attach missile to the bottom part of detacher
3. attach body to the back of the detacher
4. attach top of the detacher to the pylon
5. start building the body itself from the attached body section, if you are using fuselage pieces simply use the "add section" button, make sure you are using either structural panels or fuselages if you're making any fins for the missile
6. make sure all parts of the body have no mass, no drag (including calculateDrag off), and disabled collisions
7. once you are fully done with the body, simply copy the missile's coordinates (X,Y,Z) into the front of the body (make sure it's on "connected parts" so that all pieces move with it) and then move it freely along the Z axis so that the missile is hidden inside the body or is integrated with it
i decided to try my hand at this too (already did it a few times before) and decided to go with Koenigsegg Agera RS (i didn't want to get traumatized by using the Jesko so i just went with the predecessor lol) and the results were this
i gotta say, a lot of them look fine (though in many of them it seems to cover the headlights with a plastic garbage bag), though top right looks like some hot wheels car and mid right is just what. bottom left and top middle are probably the best ones tbh
top left: yup thats my sleep paralysis demon alright
top middle: the one on the top looks decent albeit a little stubby/Harrier-like, but i think it tried to draw that russian okhotnik drone thing on the bottom but had a stroke half way through
top right: decent, though it looks like someone bit into it several times
mid left: wings went adios, control surfaces became chonk, and it has a massive tumour on the right side
mid mid: top one looks like a mildly corrupted N64 mesh of it, bottom is just what
mid right: CRONCH CRONCH I'M VERY HUNGRY
bottom left: once again, okhotnik+F-22+stroke
bottom middle: wings went adios, but actually the best/most accurate looking one aside from that
bottom right: 5 year old kids taking a detailed F-22 replica and adding 8 kajillion wings and weapons to it
ye ik that lol
@32
true, i do have 2 email accounts so that works as well, but due to the sheer amount it might get categorized as spam, who knows

+1why is it making a o_o face lol
+1agreed, this is a very top gun move
@Timothy19452022
i have no idea how many i have (cause i'm on ios, duh) but probably nowhere near as much lol
pretty similar to what i'm also making lol
blueprints are a pain to work with though, it would take too long to explain in a comment tho
@Lake
i honestly suck at making planes too, i kinda started making cars as well, but i suck at making those too :shrug:
same
aight, looking forward to it, be sure to tag me on it by the way please
@F1Fan8910
cheers, thanks
+1and that's not it
i'm planning to redo the front because i really messed up on it
@AYEDAYE
don't worry, mine aren't either
@F1Fan8910
same
+1@ThomasRoderick
that's also a possibility too
@X99STRIKER
do something from like 1994, doesn't really matter if it's fictional or real
oh, so it's just because of some people being trigger-happy snowflakes, i see now ¯_(ツ)_/¯
+1@Inuyasha8215 @Panzerwaifu69 @X99STRIKER
although i rarely play with ingame music on nowadays, but when i do, oh man does it feel good

thank you, good luck to you too

unfortunately yes

society if ios allowed mods:
*literally a utopia, life literally can't get any better, the absolute peak has been reached*
damn, some of these look more like games than real life... it always used to be the opposite, with games looking real, but now, boom
works ye
+1@ColonelCanada
image didn't load, sad
+1btw, if you can't make the one i suggested, can i make it myself? i'll credit you for the original idea ofc

it's so catchy fr
+1@WolfHunter9111
it's probably because of the simpler shape of the cars (less "pieces that jut out") but hey who knows
