I think it would be funny to do a really different challenge. Instead of like best modern fighter or race plane. Make something like a best kitchen appliance challenge
Yep. There is a tiny room for not fully applying the brakes but still slowing down but it's still annoying to tap the brakes and end up stopping instantly and doing cartwheels down the runway @DeezDucks
@Darkharp182 thanks! And yeah, I was building it and testing it for a few seconds at a time to see if the mechanisms worked before realising that I forgot any kind of steering whatsoever haha. The steering it has now was just thrown together last minute, hopefully the next one will have steering
When I get bored I made proof of concepts of various things. I've attempted to make bird-planes (not ornithopters, but all moving wings and fuselages), I played with AI friendly conceptual flight concepts for a while, and now I'm working on piston powered engines
@traindude48 thanks again :) I've finally gotten a working walker powered by it, once i iron the kinks out of that I'll start working on one that doesn't have the direction problem
@traindude48 yeah, that's the main issue. I have an idea that might fix it but I haven't tested it yet. If it's going to spin fast you could try putting dead weight in the beams connecting the two sides. It'll give it way more torque unfortunately but it might fix that problem
@aircraftarsenal123 yeah, once I got the parts with disabled collision I still had the problem of a twitch and the rotation direction switching with every revolution it did. I solved that by making the vertical pistons go 0.05 shorter than the horizontal ones so that they're always pulling a little bit when the horizontal ones are fully extended
@Johndfg good luck with the air force! I've heard that it's the hardest to get into. My math teacher tried to get in but ended up qualifying for the navigator position on some cargo plane which he turned down
On the original, the main reason it lagged so much was because the landing gear you used on the cars all had suspension. Using wheels without suspension instead would peridot make it easier to run
@Wildblueyonder578 it only works in the main post section, not comments (and with no spaces). Just do [text](link) make text act as a link. And the [alt text] is just whatever text you want to show if the image doesn't load for some reason. You can leave it blank but you don't literally need "alt text" to be there
I was about to literally embed my palm into my skull until I clicked on the post lmao, you got me good there
@Flightsonic yeah, I can get the scale with the bubble wrap. I'm thinking of getting the large one so I'm curious of how that looks
@LuKorp use imgur, and copy the image link. Then type
![](image link)
in a forum post (doesn't work in comments) to add an image@Flightsonic this is the small one right?
Possible entry.. Not sure though, but upvoting to get the word out there
clickable link to challenge

@2411181496 thanks!
Yeah, if I could download that my phone would probably poo a little
...what happened
@esms1999 I did something kind of like this in like 1.1 but it was launched from a plane and i used it against carriers
Yep. There is a tiny room for not fully applying the brakes but still slowing down but it's still annoying to tap the brakes and end up stopping instantly and doing cartwheels down the runway @DeezDucks
@Complications you can also type

in the post to put the image here@Darkharp182 thanks! Couldn't they always do that after they started being aggressive?
@traindude48 yeah, too bad there's no way to connect the engine to the wheels unless you use old style fuselage wheels
@traindude48 thanks :) any progress on the car yet?
@traindude48 here's the walker all done
Good idea! I hadn't thought about using this on a boat
When I get bored I made proof of concepts of various things. I've attempted to make bird-planes (not ornithopters, but all moving wings and fuselages), I played with AI friendly conceptual flight concepts for a while, and now I'm working on piston powered engines
Aren't these supposed to rely on kinetic energy for the damage as opposed to a warhead?
If it's added, it should be a quality option. It wouldn't do any favors for the frame-rate on larger builds
@traindude48 thanks again :) I've finally gotten a working walker powered by it, once i iron the kinks out of that I'll start working on one that doesn't have the direction problem
Those planes!
@PlanesOfOld go for it! I'd love to see it

@traindude48 of course!
I don't build passenger planes, but i guess this would be helpful. Probably a little too specific though
@TimothyWong thanks!
I'm waiting for when this comes out for mobile.. There's no chance of me getting a PC but I really want my 3d plane!
@Johndfg good luck with the air force! I've heard that it's the hardest to get into. My math teacher tried to get in but ended up qualifying for the navigator position on some cargo plane which he turned down
Over 1k parts good lord..
@ccooper thank you :)
Yes.. Remove the profanity from the title or you a moderator will have to do it
This is great for a first plane!
You should try putting putting jet engines on it now ;)
That's trippy looking
@Ephwurd thanks! You're not too far off yourself
@Flightsonic thank you!
@Flightsonic I like it ;)
@Flightsonic yeah, I know everyone who already knows would appreciate it. I've probably explained it three or four times today already
Does anyone know when these will become available on mobile/through the website?
@Flightsonic exactly!
Been seeing a lot of questions about this recently
@Wildblueyonder578 yes, type just the way it is in red with the actual link in parentheses and it will work

I have no words for that signature...

In some circumstances I don't think you make the best decisions but that definitely doesn't mean I don't like you as a person
