@Typhlosion130 I know, but it looks cool. However from a mildly realistic stance the engines are fully exposed in the air so I don't know what it's cooling or taking in air for.
@Typhlosion130 I did use all 600 and I did go down, now I'm just trying to mix a solution from the speed issue and the downforce on the nose, because the nose has all the steering and not enough downforce kills the steering, to much and I flip
@Typhlosion130 yeah no kidding I tweaked for a while and now I'm back where I started, a little faster I break the frame, a little slower I have no downforce. Literally by one space on the engine sliders
@Typhlosion130 I did something similar but the downforce and durability of the vehicle was a problem, I think I could make it fast and maneuverable, I just need to balance downforce and structure
@brucethemoose k thanks, yeah I know that band angle problem, I always go nose first, and not a "awkward angle" it's airborne to vertical and then ground.
@Typhlosion130 actually with downforce in the game and our current method, does the F1 thing prove true here? Where the faster you go the more air goes over the wings and the more downforce you have
@Typhlosion130 I know of the undo button but the undo bug is still a thing where if you undo to much then 3 versions of the old vehicle load over it. Then sequentially my app crashed and undo doesn't work after the app crashes. And I do organize my vehicles, I just saved over the working version on accident.
@Typhlosion130 extra salt when you have something that is reliable and you accidentally save something over it. I KNOW ABOUT RELIABILITY! Sorry heavy salt.
@Typhlosion130 is there a specific dihedral or airfoil that helps with downforce the best? I put wings on it to hold it down and I just get lift. (Within reason of course, I'm not just slapping wings on it)
@Typhlosion130 waiiiit... When I run the race on my iOS device (iPad mini) I see the AI I'm against above mine, not at the same altitude as me. Is this normal?
@Typhlosion130 yeah but the back hits the ground first, and all the weight tears the back off. Also doesn't a drop that takes a couple extra seconds skew the results of a time race?
@Typhlosion130 I know, but it looks cool. However from a mildly realistic stance the engines are fully exposed in the air so I don't know what it's cooling or taking in air for.
@Typhlosion130
Behold
@Typhlosion130 yeah I understand
@Typhlosion130 ah
@Typhlosion130 Allright..
@Typhlosion130 @MrSev id assume that's just because it's random
@Typhlosion130 I get that but I'm asking why it works flawlessly several times in a row and then fails several times in a row
@Typhlosion130 ok, so is there any reason why the runs seem to get worse with each try?
@Typhlosion130 so are there any variables that change?
@EliteSteel hold up there are different AIs that drive?
@EliteSteel @Typhlosion130 I think my best is about 1:30 - 1:25 I had one that did 1:15ish but it crashed to much
@Typhlosion130 god dang it
What's the average time? Not so much what the best is but what's the sorta middle time?
@Geekpride yeah, that was my 'afterthought' it has to at least be X big
@Typhlosion130 I know but I'll be stable for a couple seconds then spin mid air
@Typhlosion130 oh no I'm fast, any time I hit a ramp I get major air and flip
@Typhlosion130 well... I don't mean to brag.. But I do turn 6 perfectly...
....... No, every jump does not kill it! Most of them do.. But not all!
How is it that if I break a wing on my car I'm disqualified but if I loose half my car it's fine?
@AstleyIndustries yeah I figured
Anyone have good advice on mid air stabilization? Every time I get 3 ft of air I do a 90 degree roll
@GrumpyRacing STOP MAKING ME FEEL MEDIOCRE! I only just broke 1:20! However I still get obliterated on the ramp to the finish ring.
@Typhlosion130 I did use all 600 and I did go down, now I'm just trying to mix a solution from the speed issue and the downforce on the nose, because the nose has all the steering and not enough downforce kills the steering, to much and I flip

@Typhlosion130 well.. Yeah I get that.. I have done some adjustments, and I don't have my best speed but it never crashes, but as I said it's slow
It sure is
@Geekpride me too, I don't understand this ring 6 problem, I have a nose heavy problem.
@brucethemoose k thanks, yeah I know that band angle problem, I always go nose first, and not a "awkward angle" it's airborne to vertical and then ground.
@Typhlosion130 actually with downforce in the game and our current method, does the F1 thing prove true here? Where the faster you go the more air goes over the wings and the more downforce you have
@Typhlosion130 I was about to say
Are there any other ways to get more downforce? Specifically on a mobile device
@MechWARRIOR57 I do understand this, but iOS doesn't support mods at all.
@Typhlosion130 it's normally a result of hitting undo at any speed other than slow.
Anyone else have the problem when you have something that works flawlessly only once, and every other run it fails in a ball of fire?
@Typhlosion130 ok thanks
I got obliterated on the ramp to the finish and most of me made it, would that count or no?
@Typhlosion130 does a long wing down the side or work better than a wide wing going from wheel to wheel, with downforce? Or does it matter?
@Typhlosion130 thanks, will use it in the future, but my current design has some glide when in the air and its proven useful. Thanks anyway
@Typhlosion130 wait so rotate it if I have to? So the connection points are pointing at the nose and tail?
@Typhlosion130 I'd assume, so use a structural wing and point it down?
@Typhlosion130 front downforce kills me normally.. I get to much lift and then the front downforce slams me into the ground nose first.
@Typhlosion130 ok, is there any comprehensive thing to explain airfoils? I really want to learn how to use them...
@Typhlosion130 is there a specific dihedral or airfoil that helps with downforce the best? I put wings on it to hold it down and I just get lift. (Within reason of course, I'm not just slapping wings on it)
@Typhlosion130 ok, well that puts me at ease... For me the apponent vehicle starts several feet above me
@Typhlosion130 waiiiit...
@Typhlosion130 from that high up? Then again from some observation my vehicle hits it's back to hard and flips.
why is the second starting position so high? Is that fixed in the actual tournament?
