Every now and then I go through user's collections (especially replica builders) to see what they've done before but mainly to appreciate the progress we've made since our very first uploads. The progressive increase in quality/creativity amazes me and is truly inspirational. This Constellation is a testament to that notion. You've always been one among my favorite contributors in this game, Authros! Keep at it!
Helicopters certainly are tricky in this game in its current state. But this is pretty darn good one! You gotta really fight her to keep it stable, but it does look great! Good to see you still kicking around, Notapier!
I come back to town and am greeted by this beauty! Holy hell this is great. I love the thrust vectoring. And that cockpit! (Perhaps inspired from my prowler?) This is fantastic though. I really gotta step up to the plate now and bring my A game!!
@PlanesOfOld oh lol, my bad. Thats the bane of typed conversation; tone/sarcasm just doesn't come through. Didn't mean to blow up your spot, I apologize.
@Matthew240 Thanks, my dude. For the torpedoes though, just keep in mind that at the very least it will have to be as thick as a floating block. Can your tubes fit that?
@Eric314 Lol looks off-blue to me (on highest settings). I intentionally made it that way to help bring a splash of color to the plane. On the real plane, its more of a windshield than a cockpit as well.
@PlanesOfOld I poured over many schematics and 3 views, took measurements and all. I think it is a very accurate representation of the craft, especially when its constructed out of blocks... And I took some creative liberates with regards to the color scheme of some details to make them pop.
@Jacobhardy64 @Mathhew240 @Allstarship @ EglinAFB @planesnthings @ZFM99 @JMicah4 @PlanesofOld Thanks you guys!!! Can't say it enough, but I really appreciate your feedback!!
@Tango71 thanks man, glad you like it! If you still want to have fun with the missiles and a good frame rate, try turning the physics settings to medium or low in the game. That seems to help most people
I do have a kamkord but I only have two videos (and they're both diagnostic videos to help explain how those two planes are suppose to be flown to users who were having trouble). My name for kamkord is still 'Scriefers'. I probably won't use it all that much because the quality of the videos seems crummy and I'd rather use a PC screen recorder on my laptop. @PlanesOfOld
Hey, my man! Sorry I took a while to get back to you, I've been crazy busy this week! So here we go!
1) of course dude! Your browning is very cool! And I am indeed a fan of your work! When I get more time I'll take a better look at your h-7. But first impressions; it's very impressive looking!!
2) I love the creativity on this website and I greatly enjoy the content users create! So I'd definitely like to see more of that!!
3) I'm not quite sure what you are asking me here, bud. I'm assuming autocorrect decided to take the wheel and mess that sentence up lol! Are you asking me what one wish of mine would be? Hmm that's a toughie...
Awesome! But spring-boarding off @Vikdesigns comment, the wings are a bit too small relative to the fuselage size. A little tip when building replicas: look at some schematics on Google to get an idea of the proportions. Other than that she's a beaut! I love the bomb designs!!
@PlanesofOld oh come on, my friend. That's a little lowbrow to penalize someone's design just because the device you use can't handle it. Take it from me, this ship is awesome works great!
@Football19 Thanks man, means a lot! Make some planes so we can get you on the board with some ratings!! The canberra is an interesting bird, I'll add her to the list. I love those early era jets.
@Eric314 Absolutely! I love me my WWII bombers lol. Just bear in mind that I have 'new' planes on my list that people have asked me to build (which have priority over remakes of planes I've already done) and that my build style requires a lot of time being dedicated to building just one plane. So what I am trying to say is it will be a while before I get to it, but I guarantee I will!!
@PlanesOfOld oh and one more trick that has come in handy for me. You can actually part clip intakes into wing pieces and they'll still function. Seems like wings are the only piece that don't interfere with their intake. My Voodoo is a good example of this. Look under the main wings and you'll see small intakes half clipped inside. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/o86zyM/F-101B-Voodoo
@PlanesOfOld with this style of building, you can clip an engine anywhere you want. The tricky part is placing the air intakes in aesthetically pleasing areas because these intakes don't function if they are clipped into other pieces and have to actually be exposed to the outside. Along with being on the outside, intakes cannot have anything in front of them. So the "scoop" of the intake can't have another piece directly in front of it (there has to be at least one block worth of space between the scoop and another piece). Another rather important tip to keep in mind is the actual location of the intakes. Intakes work much better (they gather more air) when placed closer to the nose of the plane. Intakes are a fickle beast... And they've always been a pain for me to try to hide and yet still function. Hope this helps, if you need any clarification don't hesitate to ask!
To be up front with you @Notapier I haven't started production yet. I currently have 5 other project in the works now. But rest assured I will build it. Hell, I'll even try to make a B-36 mothership for it!
@maverickvii Yeah, my XF-108 is plagued with this issue (I think thats when we were talking about it). I've diagnosed it as an issue that happens when clipping wing pieces. For some reason clipping wings into other pieces at certain locations/angles on the plane causes what seems like incredible drag or weight gains. In my Rapier it was caused by the weapons bay doors. For your F-105 here, its caused by the vertical wings (the white ones) you stashed underneath the plane towards the rear. Remove those and she rolls just fine.
@WalrusAircraft Hmm, I just tested this out and it was still abruptly pulling to one side when braking. I even put the rear wheels on detachers and put them all the way to the tips of the main wings and still the problem persisted. That's unfortunate...
@WalrusAircraft I didn't even think to play around with the rear wheels. When testing landings/takeoffs I only noticed the wing piece used in the nose gear was bending ever so slightly. And at 200+MPH, any slight turn is greatly exaggerated. I'll keep your note in mind for future builds, thanks!
@JMicah4 Haha thats awesome! I love coming up with little missions like that. Im happy to hear you got her to land! For some odd reason the nose wheel is somewhat wobbly and causes the whole plane to jerk to one side when the brakes are applied. I tried everything under the sun to prevent that but nothing worked... So landing maneuvers and coming to a stop requires a lot of runway for this bird lol.
@trainfrog Thanks for the feedback, homie. I have made an F4U Corsair already. However, it doesn't have landing gear. Its a simple, high performance plane. I'll eventually revisit it and make a larger, fully functional version. As for the B-25... stay tuned!!
@AndrewGarrison @WeeBabySeamus It makes me really glad to see the developers of the game take the time to try my planes! Seriously, thanks for your time and attention, but an even bigger thank you for making such an awesomely creative and fun game!!!
@Allstarship Thanks, dude! Really appreciate hearing that coming from a top builder like you! The way I see it, there's always room for improvements and innovations, and I always strive to make my next plane better than my last. Anyway, thanks for your feedback!
@Geebers I have already got a p-47 in the works! Once I got the framework complete, I'll see what I can do with details to have it on par with this Prowler.
@TheLatentImage @JacobHardy64 @Notapier @Eric314 @Matthew240 @Dynimerous @JaySto @FIOu @rezpe @Elijthegreat Thank you all for the support and kind words! I am glad you have fun flying my planes!! Thanks so much!!
@Teus thanks, bud. I really appreciate it!! While the leg work was already mostly done (the frame is from my A-6 Intruder) it was a bear trying add the details and get the missiles to work properly!
It's not what you think it is. Mine doesn't have turrets. @JMicah4
It's not big in size, but it has an incredible amount of detail. As such it won't be out for a couple days. @JMicah4
Yes, my dude, I'm back. I've been back for a week and I got something big in the works now. Keep your eyes out for it in the next few days! @JMicah4
Awesome, awesome to the max! A Tomcat in any colors other than the Jolly Roger's just ain't a tomcat in my book!

Excellent! You know I love me a good heavy bomber!!
Very sleek looking! Well done!
I come back to town and am greeted by this beauty! Holy hell this is great. I love the thrust vectoring. And that cockpit! (Perhaps inspired from my prowler?) This is fantastic though. I really gotta step up to the plate now and bring my A game!!
@PlanesOfOld Cheers, bud! I'll be gone for a week but I'll try to keep an eye out for yours and everyone's builds!
@PlanesOfOld oh lol, my bad. Thats the bane of typed conversation; tone/sarcasm just doesn't come through. Didn't mean to blow up your spot, I apologize.
@NasaSpace101 lol well both stand true I guess. She's beautiful when she flies and beautiful when she dies haha
@Matthew240 Thanks, my dude. For the torpedoes though, just keep in mind that at the very least it will have to be as thick as a floating block. Can your tubes fit that?
@Eric314 Headed on down to Mexico with the fam for a week!
@Nasaspace101, the way I see it, crashing is have the fun in this game!!!
@Eric314 Lol looks off-blue to me (on highest settings). I intentionally made it that way to help bring a splash of color to the plane. On the real plane, its more of a windshield than a cockpit as well.
@PlanesOfOld And again, its pretty lowbrow and rude to go around saying others should deduct scores just because of your preferences/opinions...
@PlanesOfOld I poured over many schematics and 3 views, took measurements and all. I think it is a very accurate representation of the craft, especially when its constructed out of blocks... And I took some creative liberates with regards to the color scheme of some details to make them pop.
@Superdude Try lowering the physics settings in the game. That might make it run smoother!
@Matthew240 I am going out of country for a week and wont have much time to play. But Id be more than happy to help when I return!!
@Jacobhardy64 @Mathhew240 @Allstarship @ EglinAFB @planesnthings @ZFM99 @JMicah4 @PlanesofOld Thanks you guys!!! Can't say it enough, but I really appreciate your feedback!!
Very pretty! The Jolly Rodgers colors are definitely my favorite of any squadron.
@PlanesOfOld Oh I am well aware of that. But its not nearly as fun without rockets and torpedoes lol.
In a couple of hours. She's all wrapped up, just gotta write up the description. @Eric314
@Tango71 thanks man, glad you like it! If you still want to have fun with the missiles and a good frame rate, try turning the physics settings to medium or low in the game. That seems to help most people

I absolutely love the guns! Your attention to detail for these ships is very impressive. Did you collaborate with Walrus Jr. on this one?
I am on eastern time (east coast US). Its a running list I have in my notes app on my ipad. @Eric314
@Eric314 Absolutely! I love me my WWII bombers lol.
