@PhantomBladeCorp currently, my map is a medium sized one and is primarily underwater. Yeah, I've played with the cave type thing before, it's just that the objects can be seen through the fog, even when extremely far away(this includes the water murk) . I have a massive map underway however, but I'm having tons of bugs.
A New Zealand Corporation:
You have 2 cows, you have enough money to hire a dairy farm, but not enough money to pay for (this curse priced) fuel to transport it anywhere, so you have to increase the sale price, which in turn increases all dairy industry foods to skyrocket in price causing a countrywide economy downfall.
NOW I HAVE TO SPEND $16 NZD JUST TO BUY A 1KG BLOCK OF TASTY CHEESE!!!
(That translates to $10:68 USD for a 2.2lbs block of chez!)
/\ This is an actual problem in NZ as of current. Because of the fuel price increase, (currently around $2.70NZD a litre or $6.82USD for 1 gallon of PETROL!) this is causing trucking companies to increase the cost of delivery so they can make a profit, that forces any shop or supply warehouse to increase THEIR prices so THEY can make a living too!
So, the price in dairy items has increased by about $3-$9!
Runs flawlessly, max settings on my Huawei Y7 in gameplay, but in the designer it hits a staggering 2fps.
Although it has the functionality of it's Minecraft counterpart in SP, it serves as a great device benchmarking tool lol.
@MisterT Yah, I had a similar project, I have working on a once top secret project, the GTA V Map, it was working really well and it was neeeaaarly finished, until I stupidly updated Unity to the 2018 version and overwrote all the scripts and meta data, rendering all the progress useless, I still have the projects, but I haven't touched it in a long time.
Anyway, you used patching for the textures, sounds difficult to make. I've attempted this type of texturing and I've used terrain.party a plenty, but I always combined different locations together to make a custom location.
If you could run me through some satellite texture patching, we could share some techniques and technologies, yes?
0.0 INSANITY!! What an incredible map and great builds too!
If you add trees and grass, I suggest adding them using the tree placement, it auto does LOD's and make for an easier job.
@MTakach Looool, dude, this is over 2.4 years old
@Chancey21 Agreed
@spefyjerbf Ok, that's all right.
+1Important question... Have you added LOD to the game? That is mega important for any map with huge details.
@exosuit Watch the tutorial vids, it'll help a lot
SP Bucks
+3Wew. someone should do this in SR2 ;)
@CRJ900Pilot Make one?
https://www.simpleplanes.com/About/PressKit
Here. It has all images used in the site :D
@jamesPLANESii Same
@jamesPLANESii yeet
So, 6 days away?
I did one of those little nose laugh things when I saw this XD
Sadly that won’t get 3 upvotes because half of the website has moved to SR2. :P
Lol, I liked these on Steam the other day XD
@Kubula007 Read the description
@WNP78 You should do it, I was thinking of releasing all my maps as a signing off to SimplePlanes
I prefer the Pupa and the Chrysalis mechs, but this looks stunning!
Yay!

+1@Hayhayjam664 I didn't even know this was a thing, you bring back soooo many memories!
+1Leaving is ok, but deleting all your aircraft from the site is a bummer. Oh well, rip.
Great mod! Out of interest though, would anyone be drawn to the idea of an underwater map? Sunken ships, tunnels, caves, swamped aircraft?
+3Sick
That description is a work of art itself, let alone the aircraft!
@GenrichTitov lol, bet you it took a good 5 minutes to get those acronyms right XD
@DemonSniper8 They'll most likely be a thing, there was a rover in the trailer
Accurate.

I LIKE CHEESE, THIS IS A PROBLEM!
+2@Squirrel So, is there any way to get rid of the fog problem, because even solid colours and untextured objects display incorrectly
@TheEpicMOONHAWK All goodly
@BlazeInfinity Oh, I wasn't even aware of that, I just liked your ships lol.
YEET

Oh my god I LOVE this plane!
Lol, these builds took the site by storm a few years ago XD
@BlazeInfinity I remember you had an alt account that blew up pretty well, what happened to that?
@TheEpicMOONHAWK Whoa, lol, be nice 😅
@WNP78 every object I place is visible through fog for me, buildings, 3D models of bridges, any 3D object really
@MisterT Oh wow, I didn't see your resource links, I've been looking for that type of stuff for months!

I like
@squirrel
+2Maybe you? I know you have made some incredible map mods
@PhilipTarpley I think perhaps you know most about SP modding?
+3@AndrewGarrison
+4I'm sorry, if I'm disrupting your black liquorice eating session ;)
@HellFireKoder
+2@NoyaN If anything confuses you, tag me in a query, although I may not respond immediately, I'm still listening.
I'd be happy to help
Also, how tf did you manage those satellite images in UHD? I can never find good satellite imagery. 🤔

Also, how big (GB) is the map project?
@EternalDarkness Since when did EA manage this site?
+7But can it land on a makeshift airfield?
