Overview

MV Ruby Hoshino is a large multi-purpose logistic transport ship of the Monarchii Royal Navy. It is a successor of MV Sarina Tendouji, a cargo ship of the formidable Monarchii's Yamato Strike Group which has been sunk during the M-War at the fateful day of Operation Going Eleven.

As the multi-purpose logistic ship, she is capable for being both freighter and oil tanker ship at the same time. She is also equipped with double multi-purpose air defense system, flares, and even more anti-piracy device as a minor defense equipments. It is also a reminiscent of her predecessor.

Since the Monarchii War II to the Siren War, MV Ruby Hoshino is captained by a seaman named Captain Kendrick Poulet, together with his assist and best friend, Mac "Macceuh" Mckinzie, who also works as an Ordinary Seaman of the ship herself.

Sinking of Sarina Tendouji

MV Sarina Tendouji of Monarchii Royal Navy

MV Sarina Tendouji was a cargo ship and logistic transport of Monarchii Royal Navy. She was the part of the invincible fleet known as the Monarchii's Yamato Strike Group. The invincible fleet was attacked by NeMaR naval forces with their unusual flying tanks until there's no surviving ship left. The cargo ship Sarina Tendouji was managed to survive the lethal attack, sank shortly afterwards due to unable to handle the leaking waters flooding her hull located on her starboard side.

Post-Monarchii War - MV Ruby Hoshino
In order to revive their power, especially after a questionable event where some of Monarchiians were vanished, the Monarchii Royal Armed Forces, especially the navy decided to order and even build some brand new ships. Eventually, a large 150.000 ton cargo ship was ordered to be commissioned by Monarchii Royal Navy. After it's laid down, it's finally entering service as the new logistic ship, and signed as a successor of the sunken Sarina Tendouji. The ship then named as "MV Ruby Hoshino". She is a multi-purpose logistic ship, meaning that she can be operated as both freighter and oil tanker at the same time.

Just like her previous predecessor, she is also weaponized by some minor defenses. But unlike Sarina Tendouji, Ruby Hoshino being equipped with upgraded armaments. She is equipped with two Kashtan-M multi-purpose air defense instead of one. She is also loaded with countermeasures such as flares, smoke screen, and also torpedo decoy. In addition with upgraded anti-piracy device to protect herself from the wild pirates.

Just like her previous predecessor, despite being upgraded and weaponized even with more upgraded defense equipments, the cargo ship still seems very weak.

A British-speaking Seaman Captain named Kendrick Poulet, applying himself to be the commanding sailor of MV Ruby Hoshino. He has a full responsibility to take control of the logistic ship, and he works together with Ordinary Sailor Mac Mckinzie, known as Macceuh. He is an associates and also a best friend of Captain Kendrick who works as a ship cleaner for MV Ruby Hoshino.

M-War II debut
Prior to the Siren War, she got time to deployed in Monarchii War II to serve the Loyalist side, especially for the Whimsical Whimsy themself. She plays an important role as a logistic transport ship, a valuable asset for the loyalist force and the allies, eventually succeeding the journey of her late predecessor.

Siren War debut
As the siren war occurred, she plays an even more important role for the human allied forces, especially in logistics and supply transporter. She became one of the most important key of the human allied forces.

Notable crews:

• Seaman Captain Kendrick Poulet - The commanding sailor of MV Ruby Hoshino. He is known to having and talk with British accent.
• Ordinary Seaman Mac Mckinzie - Known and oftenly called as Macceuh, he is an assist of Captain Kendrick and a ship cleaner for MV Ruby Hoshino. He is also a best friend of Kendrick. He sometimes can get annoying and messed up. He also has and speaks with British accent same as Kendrick.

Manual instruction:

• Throttle = Move forward.
• Brake = Brake.
• S = Reverse (set throttle to 0 first).
• A & D = Turn left & right.
• AG7 = Disable/enable the vessel system.
• AG8 = Enable RADAR rotation.

Kashtan-M controls

• The Kashtan-M is a multi-purpose air defense system that can fires bullets and missiles. The missile requires lock on target to be fired.
• Automatically aim at your target.
• Spacebar = Fire CIWS.
• LAlt = Launch AA missile (must lock-on target).

Trivia

• The ship was modelled after the Oil Tanker from Artstorm's Modern Warships Naval Battle. I even had no idea what kind of class of the tanker ship herself.
• The ship might possibly loosely based on Knock Nevis Oil Tanker.
• The ship namesake was named after a character with the same name from Oshi No Ko.
• Her predecessor was named after the character from the same series. Told that she was the past life of the character before she is reincarnated into a new life. Inspiring how the previous vessel was sunken and then succeed or "resurrected" by a new one.
• The crew members of MV Ruby Hoshino was actually inspired from another characters:
  
  
  
  • Seaman Captain Kendrick Poulet was inspired from Kent Paul from Grand Theft Auto Series. He is a British person which shares a same trait to Captain Kendrick (quick trivia: Kent Paul is my most favourited GTA character).
  
  
  • In the other hand, Mac Mckinzie aka Macceuh was heavily inspired from a character from the same franchise named Maccer. Even their name sounds similar each other.
  
  
• Macceuh's favourite song is Tententengokujigokukoku by Aiobahn +81. He also likes to dance to it, while in reality, he is suck at dancing and his move looks outrageously dumb.
  
  
  
  • According to Kendrick, Macceuh's dance reminds him a lot of a bollocks.
  
  
  • Macceuh even made his own lyrics on the song by replacing the original lyrics of the song which is supposed to be "Tenshi to, Akuma to" (this part of the song) turned into "Dance it, oh Macceuh Macceuh!"
  
  
  • Macceuh's dance was actually an indirect reference to The Lance Vance Dance.
  
  
  • Also in one time, Kendrick once smash Macceuh's jukebox with a fire axe as he perform his Macceuh dance instead of mopping the ship bridge whch is his chores as the Ordinary Seaman. And scolded him afterwards. Referencing how Victor Vance, the protagonist of GTA Vice City Stories turned off Lance's Jukebox but in the whole next level.

Creator's note:

• The AA guns are quite sluggish and inaccurate and quite wobbly. Even if i increased the damperMultiplier value it just make it worse.
