My next project

69.4k Chancey21  5.2 years ago

As the title says, I'm building a Bush Plane. But not quite a normal one, this one is a little different.

Some of you may know that I sketch out my airplane concepts on paper and refine the design before building them in SP, but for this project, I'm going beyond that. I plan to have a project that is as close to a real-life plane design as possible. I mean like testing-the-frame-shape-strength-in-Fusion-360 Crazy. I mean like designing-blueprints-and-projected-specs-and-drawing-concept-art crazy. Anyway, enough talking, let's see what the hype is all about.

So here is the project in its official-looking folder (its more fun if it looks cool amirite)

Closed Folder
So what's in there?

First we have the initial concept. Mostly outdated by now but a good start to give you a basic idea of where I'm headed with this project.

InitialConcept
you can read through it if you want

Then, after a mental review and lots of feedback from jamesPLANESii, Hyattorama, MrSIlverWolf, and a few other guys, I drew a bigger concept shape and designed a livery for it. you can see that by scrolling down.
BigLiveryOne

Now, let's see how that looks in 3D (I transferred it using two-point perspective cube method)
3D1

Now for the part im most excited about, concept art.

This took a really long time. Like really really long.

What do you think? Comment what you think about the art and the project as a whole.

Thanks,

I didn’t know that fusion can merge components! I found this from a quick google search. Might be helpful.

I can combine them though. But I’m crap at fusion @spefyjerbf

Ah. Let me know how the import goes! I have a feeling that fusion might split it up into parts, which wouldn’t be ideal.

I’m gonna start with a frame in SP, export it to do tests on and then resume the project @spefyjerbf

Oh wow that is so cool! Your very talented at drawing, much more than me even when I was proficient. That concept art graphic/picture looks absolutely stunning, and the airplane looks great as well! Is it tandem or side-by-side seating?

Nice. Do you (or will you) have any of the CAD screenshots from Fusion? Those would be pretty interesting.

It's funny you create super detailed blueprints that you can probably use to build irl and I just put it together and hope it looks good

@Chancey21 you definitely inspired me to do something similar (when I have much more time in the future)

Looks like an engineer made this.
    I am very jealous.
