Last night around 10:00 PM CST, while I was trying to fall asleep, a spider repelled down on a web down onto me and while I didn't know what it was, I smacked it away and at the last moment I realized it was a spider, and since I'm on the top of a bunk bed, I had no choice but to stay and fight, so I smashed it with my book and luckily, I survived.
Unfortunately, I will now have PTSD
I suffered a tragic event

Lol. That’s a clever way to put it. I tried to take a picture of an eagle’s nest in a tree, but then I was attacked by and F-15.@Armyguy1534
@Operationalsupremacy one time I accidentally stepped on a hornet's nest and I was chased down by a swarm of F/A-18s
Once I ran right into the web of a brown recluse spider outdoors, and it seems he called in close air support, because the same day I was chased by a hornet (and not an F/A-18).
Oh, I didn’t know@AWESOMENESS360
@Bman01 nope, Red-Backs are related to Black Widows, but they don't look like them. Red-Back spiders have a long stripe going down their abdomen, like this, and Black Widows have a "bow tie" shaped red marking on the underside of their abdomen, like this. Red-Backs are also significantly "fuzzier" than Black Widows, while Black Widows are glossy and shiny, with smooth skin.
Isn’t that a black widow@AWESOMENESS360
Oh god
Poor spider :(
@Randomdoggo is it this guy?
@AWESOMENESS360 me neither
@Armyguy1534 I always try to put them outside when I find them, and somehow I keep seeing them after a couple days! I really hope that it's just one very intelligent spider that knows where to seek shelter, and not a nest full of spiders. I'm fine with one or two, (I actually have a little "pet" garden spider in my room, he just has a web next to my AC, and he catches all the little insignificant gnats and flys.) but if there's an entire nest full of them, even I wouldn't exactly appreciate that.
@AWESOMENESS360 I always see them in my bathroom and I just knew this day would come when they come in my room
@Armyguy1534 I see those yellow guys a lot in my house too, they do like to seek refuge inside houses when it's cold. Weirdly enough though, I've only ever seen them in my room, and nowhere else in the entire house, and it kinda adds to the weirdness that I'm the only one in my house that likes spiders with a great passion, so maybe they know? idk lol.
@AWESOMENESS360 its this which is a yellow sac spider
@AWESOMENESS360 I'm not scared of spiders either but once they dive bomb me while in bed, it's not fun
One time I woke up to a Cellar Spider hanging from a web, inches from my face. I like spiders and I think they're pretty cool, but that still immediately triggered my fight or flight response. Also, this is a Cellar Spider. Their bodies are only a couple millimeters in length, but their legs can be 2-3 inches long, so that's fun.
You did the right thing
o7 it's alright trooper
@Mmdben @Awsomur Lool
@WarHawk95 F to the spider
Well sh*t
Everyone at the spider's funerals :
Press [F] to pay respects
RIP fly and mosquito killer.
Though, in all fairness, if it tried to pick a fight with you, then it deserved to be killed.
...Sigh..... a missed opportunity to be Spider man
You killed Spider Man!
Lol
