Fifteen people are confirmed dead after a passenger plane crashed shortly after takeoff.
100 were on board the Bek Air flight from Almaty airport in Kazakhstan, which struck a concrete fence before crashing into a small two-storey building.
Z92100 was on its way to the country's capital of Nursultan carrying 95 passengers and five crew members.
Officials say it "lost height" before disappearing from radar at 7.05am today local time.
Pictures show wreckage of the plane, from the seven Fokker-100 fleet, strewn across land near the former capital, while video footage shows houses ruined with sections of the plane strewn across the landscape.
Preliminary reports say there are survivors who are being evacuated, with the plane carrying 95 passengers and five crew members.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and footage shows firefighters and other rescuers combing the wreckage while people cry in the background, with a woman heard calling for an ambulance.
The cockpit appears to be intact going by photos, and the CVR and FDR are currently being searched for.
FR24 EVIDENCE
After the news was announced I did some digging with FR24 and quickly found that the flight was in a very dangerous circumstance. You can see that the speed is a dangerous 76 knots, which is stall speed. The aircraft may have been heavy due to being holiday season, with relatives and cargo packed on the flight. While it’s being investigated, I give my prayers to the relatives and people who lost their lives in this incident.

@Natedog120705 @BuiltBionixInd10 please remove your comments or edit them to not say F and say something respectful
May those who lost their lives find peace in wherever they are now.
@Natedog120705 @BuiltBionixInd10 seriously? 7 people lose their lives, and all you can come up with is F? Honestly this is plaguing the community, I see this on posts of pet deaths as well. When commenting on these types of posts, at least think of something other than that. Death isn’t a meme.
Today we press F
