Instant Take Off Planes: Because Wings or Engines?

7,661 DimitriIqbal91  5.3 years ago

So lately I've seen some fictional fighter jets that was agile and could done an instant take off. My question is: Is it because there is a scaled wing or is it because the engine?

Because lately I have issue on scaled wing, my plane got bugged. It's shaking uncontrollably when the speed hits 1800 mph. Someone please help me to fix this issue on my plane, thx

It's neither, it actually depends on acceleration. Simpleplanes doesn't actually calculate inertia, IIRC, so when you apply that amount of force/Impulse, the runway needed to take off is no longer a problem.

@Noname918181 oh ok, thx. Now I already understand the concept. I'm even already have one sample of STOL on my SP now

If you want to create an automatic takeoff plane(presumably), you'd have to learn the basics of STOL(ShortTakeoffOrLanding)

@Randomdoggo what do you mean? Do I need some modding? What is the thing to be modified?
