I subscribe to Comcast's 1Gbps package. Though, obviously there is always loss. Bottlenecked through router, quality of lines to test server... Many variables. Though, I find this to be a good test result.

@goboygo1 Thanks for the consoling. Once I realized what you were saying, it made me laugh. I defiantly never thought you were being rude.
@ goboygo1
1.Probably the Best Speed test on the Internet, choose your specific ISP type from the list
Many other line tests available to find issues with your network if you have them.
2 Decent speed test but, dedicated APP works better
3. Tests multiple times in one test but, not as accurate IMO
@sheepsblood I haven't ever tested it, but I would like to find out. Could you point me in the direction of something I could use for that? (Don't feel stupid, I was just joking in my first comment and I didn't even remember I had fiber optic at the time. XD)
@goboygo1 I now understand and though I feel stupid for not knowing the speed of light in m/s. I feel happy to not have known that because, you made me laugh when I put the two together. Your internet is fiber optic... Which yes, is a light based method of data transportation. In turn means your internet is 299,792,457 m/s. I get it.
So what kind of Download speeds do you see lucky fiber optic user. It would be nice to not be throttled by the ISP and everyone else's copper cables but, we all have our our own internet problems ;)
@sheepsblood
Yes! my internet is traveling at one meter per second slower than light!
(actually i have fiber optic, so my internet is light on part of its journey.)
@goboygo1 Your ping is "457 m / s"?

I am just happy to finally have Cable where I am at. I had 4 DSL lines before, about 6 months back. They finally expanded cable in my area. The DSL wasn't performing even close to what it was advertised and that is direct connected to the modem. I had 2 lines @ 15 Mbps and 2 @ 7 Mbps. To get any faster I would have had to sacrificed 2 of the lines to get 24Mbps per line and considering I couldn't get more than 13Mbps on my fastest line, I wasn't going to do that. I have 3 kids so each one gets their own dedicated line. Now everyone is on this 1Gbps setup. Cheaper and soooooo much faster.
Those 4 lines costed me $118/month (taxes included) now I pay $93 (taxes included).
I run from a Modem to a switch and then split to two routers. One for each side of the house. I still like to split up my network. I do have repeaters also. Plus I run a media server on my network that is one of my reasons for the switch.
