757 Update July 4

19.2k klm747klm747  4.5 years ago

JUST COCKPIT PART COUNT ^^^

WHOLE AIRPLANE PART COUNT ^^^

Expected 4,000 Parts with no interior, I think that'll be the highest part airliner. With interior, maybe 7,000 parts. With labels on all switches in cockpit, possibly 9,000-10,000 parts.

FREE STUFF:

Wings
Engine
Empty Cockpit

Note: This takes a really long time. The overhead panel has taken more over ten hours so far, and it's not even half done. This airplane has taken at least 100 hours of work so far, and I except to put in 4 hours a day for the next few weeks. I wish I got paid for this lol. My goal is to have the most accurate replica airliner on the entire site for years to come. I hope I achieve it.

RELEASE BEFORE AUGUST 9, T for tag

Sorry, I am not anymore, I was doing a VTOL fighterjet with my first open cockpit and an instrument panel, and it crashed and I wasn’t able to recover the save, usually I unlist the build so I can download it again, didn’t have WiFi so it crashed and I lost it@klm747klm747

This is so many parts holy
I swear, all of the planes I am building right now would still sum up less than this in amount of parts.

@SilverStar That's as low as I can go. Maybe 800 if you are willing to sacrifice more detail. I will make multiple low detail versions, 800, 2000, 4000, 6000.

@klm747klm747 I think 1000 parts is to much to work it well

Recommendation: put calculateDrag to false for parts like cockpit dials, as it will help the FPS a lot.
