So I've been messing around with PID controllers to auto-trim a plane. Works well, but acts like a gyro too. When you pitch the plane, it auto-levels much like a gyro. I'm looking to only auto-trim the plane, not self-right it after pitching up or down. Any suggestions?
Try (PitchRate/x) the smaller the number the more it affects the aircraft @BagelPlane

Adjust the x for the severity of the correction

You might be able to clamp the input to make the trim less powerful.
