Goodbye SP
Hello SP community,
I’ve been here for 3.3 years now. I joined the community by accident because I wanted Internet access to my builds, and built my career on annoying forums and build theft. I built my first airplane after being on the site for a long time. Since then, this game and community has taught me infinite things about airplanes, aerodynamic principles, design, marketing, video editing, and other skills.
SP has been my favorite game full time for over 4 years of my life, and I wouldn’t be where I am in life without it. Seriously, I’m getting my pilots’s license and pursuing a career in aerospace engineering. That’s why I’m leaving full time. I have also discovered a love of off-road vehicles through SP, and just got my very own Land Rover Discovery.
SP has always been my favorite game, because it is what you make it for yourself. So many games spoon feed you the fun and experience, requiring no creative input from the user. In contrast, SP is NOTHING without user creation and motivation. I’m leaving because as I have gotten older and more experienced in all of the above fields, one by one, I was able to take what I’ve learned from SP and apply it to a real life hobby or interest. My SP videos have been replaced by real li free cinematography, my flying around in SP has been taken over by pilots license training in real life, my love of airplane design has taken me to RC, my love of off-road vehicle exploration in SP has taken shape as a real off-road “project car” in my driveway.
To sum it up, I have replaced skills I learned in SP with “real world” hobbies that I also love and enjoy. I also have been focusing on friendships and school more.
I won’t be gone forever, and I’ll still be around checking the website some, but all of my main productions will be on halt or slow progress. If you want access of any “in progress” builds, I’ll leave links in my bio when requested.

I know it sounds greedy to ask for this, but since you are no longer building... I could finish the Model X if you ever just abandoned it...
I think I may do the same thing bcuz of online class or I need to take care of other game I rarely play such as minecraft

I'm sad to see that your productions have stopped. You have made some real cool things in your time on sp. But it's awesome that this video game has actually taught you some real life information. Not many games can actually do that. And I hope that you're successful in your aerospace engineering career. And I too intend on attaining my pilot's license in a couple years when I'm old enough. I think that a lot of people who play this game think similarly to you. In that 90 percent of the playerbase as a love for aviation of one kind or another. Anyways, enough blabbering lol. @Chancey21
