So, while I was recreating an altimeter in SP that barely has 75 parts at most, the game took several seconds to load, which was very strange, since such thing should pose no bottleneck on my system. so I went in and loaded the highest part count flyable plane that I had saved, Xanavi's Focke Wulf 190 which has over 2000 parts, and started monitoring my system. (I'm running full graphics) this is what I found:
my result is... none of my system is actually at full capacity, while the game is running at barely 8-12fps...
For reference, my system is a modified laptop Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP770Z.
Intel core I7 3635QM 4C/8T at 3.4Ghz
XFX AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB OC edition, 1366Mhz GPU clock/ 2000Mhz Memory clock
12GB RAM DDR3 1333Mhz
1TB SSD WD
Native resolution: 1920x1080 on both screens.
This pc can run WarThunder at max graphics at over 100fps, The Division 2 at max graphics at a reasonable 40-50fps.
I know that my EGpu setup does have a native bottleneck, but that's not the issue when I can run all those games at max graphics like it was child's play.
so please devs, optimize this game so it can run smoother.
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook my condolences...
@marcox43 I only have like 4gb ram on this
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook wtf hahaha
I can run SP faster than WT lmao. Getting a good 8 fps on low graphics
@edensk exactly. Also, small update, I think the lag come from Cache memory and the BUS speed itself, because the game starts to lag after 2 hours of continuous gameplay, no matter if it's a 50 part build or a 1400 part build. Very noticeable when using overload, it can take several seconds to load a simple menu. For low part count build, just restart the game and problem solved for some hours, but on larger builds, there's no fix...
@Sovetskysoyus what he's saying is that simplelanes doesn't use the entirety of his system, for example, only 4 out of the 8gb ram, yet the frame rate is very low. That the game should only struggle if there wasn't enough ram or enough anything.
@Sovetskysoyus lol
