However, many people disagree as well. Mostly because even if he has a great capability to create maps, it wouldn't make him worthy to become a dev, since making mod maps in game isn't that hard.

No, unfortunately being a dev is soooo much different than goofing around and creating random simple stuff bc people and like it and I enjoy it, I doubt the real devs would ever let me since I haven’t even finished secondary school o_o . Heck I’m better at Zulu than C#. Thanks for the post though, I appreciate it :D
@Kennneth I personally think that though what you said is true, this post didn't consider WHAT TYPE of dev you'd be. There's usually teams for different aspects. You'd make it easier for them if they had to handle the coding and modelling, while you worked as the guy who is using the models, coded mechanics and ideas of the code into level designs in ways that work well. With all due respect to jundroo staff and pre-stating that Simpleplanes is amazing as is... Jundroo's strong points are ABSOLUTELY not level design. Forget just good looking maps... I find it hard to say that any geology within the current simpleplanes just does not work with the idea of aircrafts... There's so much potential like bases and such- Stuff you've added in your maps- but none of it is there in the base game. The most we had for the past 11 years now is just the USS beast fleet among other things that go lower and lower on how frequently they are attacked.
I also want to mention that you could work not as a dev, but a tester. Criticising their maps in extreme early beta tests will really help give some sense of polish in Simpleplanes 2
@Phox Like he stated, Modding maps and coding an entire game with complex physics calculations like in SP... those are two different things. Now.. that said... If Jundroo has a a level designer vacancy...
