I have been in the SP community for over 5 year
Here is my general idea on how to build ships, in this case a battleshi

Step 1: Build Hul
Hull is very important element to add to shi
Basic hulls can be flat fuselages at the top, and bottom fuselages being curved /smoot
For more modern ships or fast ships (as opposed to old battleship), paneled hull is goo
Middle of ship will be flat like beginner metho
But front will have flare and bend inwards, many strategies to do s

Step 2: Build turre
Panel for best result
Gun is very importan
Do not use cannon par
Use fuselage blocks, they are not just straight cylinde

Step 3: Build Superstructure
This is how you make bad ship look goo
Use blueprint for basic shap
Then use thinking or 3d model (sketchfab is good) to add detai

Step 4: Detail
Easiest way is to get "inspired" by sketchfab wows model, although they can be very wrong in detail and accurac

Add engines, use gyro or vertical rudders, and put big straight wing in the middle so that it does not 'freeturn' like in spac
