1. Rocket engines
Hey, you can't really make the argument that this is a plane game when there's a whole category of car stuff. This would be really nice for JATO, the Me-163, and other rocket propelled stuff you want to make. It could be on an activation group for solid rocket motors or on throttle for liquid ones.
2. Boat engines
Basically the same as above. Basically just a purpose-built underwater prop that functions better than slapping a normal prop underneath.
3: Tank tracks
Most of the tanks here have tracks from the Tracks 2 mod, that could simply be integrated into the game with a couple of tweaks. We have tank cannons so why not tank tracks?
4: Better/more terrain
The terrain on Yeager, Snowstone and Wright is fine, but Maywar is horrendous. There are so many unnecessary polygons that going up hills is like going up a bunch of ramps. Every time you get traction it launches you into the air, and if you aren't pointing straight up it's impossible to climb hills. Plus, it makes Maywar extremely laggy to the point where it's barely fun to do ground vehicle stuff there. I would much prefer a larger, flatter island with more areas to explore like cities, more bridges, and some more ground targets. The SP map hasn't been reworked (at least the original islands haven't) since 1.2. 8 versions later and Wright and Yeager are the same. Some more realistic scaling would also be nice. Those 600 foot dunes are nice until you get in a realistic vehicle that can't climb 85 degree slopes.
4: Make landinggear a default input for stuff
Come on. This is easy. Plus it would help users who don't know how overload works to make custom gear more easily.

Tbh, I want a custom sound file upload (like mp3) for each block that makes a sound. So you could have a horn, or custom engine sounds. I think that, as well as exhaust, or smoke trails.

I believe there is a Huge Update coming to SimpleRockets2, Once that is done they might add some stuff to SimplePlanes.
These are some very good ideas that would be very practical (Probably excluding the Terrain suggestion from that statement).
