With fictional creators, it is up to us to build the reputation/clout of our builds. We are tasked to create a sort of vibe or theme to the project. To make a fictional build stand out, we rely on unique designs, backstories, descriptions, and functionality. If we fail to do so, our project may not be well-received.

The community has a certain emotional response to a replica of a beloved plane. Fictional creators create a similar emotional response in their audience through how they present their design. It is a tough task, but it is a challenge worth pursuing!

Well, I build mostly replicas as of now. I think my imagination stopped lmao.
Well, base your fictional design to a real airplane e.g ww2 plane. As well, match its performance to a real plane like matching wing area, speed, loadouts, etc.

If a build is fictional it must earn my attention without preconceived knowledge and expectations

Its because when people make their own things it tends to not have as good of styling as the original planes from that year or generation.

Most of my most popular builds are fictional

I think because they all look like generic jets. No one really wants to see just another normal slightly futuristic jet, they pull rather see a F-15, a jet they know well. If I had to pick between upvoting a generic jet and a F-15, I would pick F-15. I know the F-15 and that it’s a really cool jet. But if it’s something halo or Star Wars, I would definitely look at that and upvote it (most likely)
