Yes, there are no new competitive technology and innovation. No one is trying to do that much competition especially Russia is just getting dumb it is not that much interesting like it was in the soviet era. In the cold war many things happened :-
The first satellite was launched, people later learned about internet.
The first man was launched to space
The first woman was launched to space
The first man stepped on the moon
The iconic U2 spy plane was made.
The Fastest plane SR-71 was made.
Many bombers like B-52, Tu-95 were made
Many fighters like Mig-21, P-51 mustang, A-10 thunderbolt were made
The biggest plane AN-225 was made
Famous Ekranoplans were made
The first supersonic plane Tu-144 was made
The biggest helicopter Mil v-12 was made
These all things ever existed because of competition and Wars. And i think this world doesn't has any competition.
Boredddd
wat @asteroidbook345
@MinWiii then we wouldn’t interfere with them. The prime directive states that we are not allowed to make contact with non-warp capable species and to not interfere with other species’ cultural development
Why would they hav technology? Maybe they just throw stones at people? @asteroidbook345
@MinWiii I'm like 100% sure that dissection is not how you learn about sentient advanced life forms. They will undoubtedly have technology, at least somewhat similar to ours, that allows us to see their anatomy and vice versa. A simple MRI machine would suffice
I’m 90% sure if we go to another planet it’s sentient life, we are either gonna commit a lotta war crimes or they are gonna make us go extinct. The only probable way we learn about them is dissecting them. Also we don’t have a reason to learn about other aliens, we have our own little planet to learn about. @asteroidbook345
@Kennnneth XD
BRUH LMAO
@MinWiii We're not ruining them. It's a chance to learn about cosmic phenomena and further our knowledge of the universe as a species
But why? Why do we need to go ruin other planets?hopefully by the point we have warp drives we also have a way to clean up earth @asteroidbook345
Lol @AWESOMENESS360
@MinWiii Well ideally at that point the earth would be running on carbon neutral energy sources and our only motivation would be exploration
@AWESOMENESS360 agree, this is basically my idealistic my fictional timeline
.
I also suggest labelling a country or group as a global enemy and starting a 1984 style perpetual war
@MinWiii oh hush you know what I mean
@RunwayLane if sw1 starts i will simply drop a Atomic bomb
“Said no one ever” dude you just said that lmao @AWESOMENESS360
Let’s just stop killing each other and have a global “fun war”, a competition between every nation to make the single coolest thing possible with the technology available, regardless of it’s purpose. It may be a groundbreakingly fast aircraft that dwarfs even the SR-71, MiG-25, X-15, and other ridiculously fast aircrafts, it could be some interesting weapon that has the capability of annihilating anything it hits, but is created for the sole purpose of seeing how many watermelons you can vaporize in 0.3 seconds. There could be a competition to create the most absolutely massive firework or explosive form of entertainment possible, something like that. Alternatively, there could be a mutual agreement throughout the world that war isn’t the answer, and we could all pour our technology into amazing things that help everyone. It would be a bonanza of new things being created every day, and there wouldn’t be a single moment regarding lack in technological advancement, and in most cases, violence between nations overall.
^^^ said no one ever.
@asteroidbook345 I also don’t understand what we’d do with a warp drive. Go polite other planets?
@MinWiii A warp drive is the most promising but it probably won't happen in our lifetimes
Oh yeah when we get a hyperdrive THEN im interested, but we don’t have one @asteroidbook345
@Gluck The space force is kind of a joke ngl. Their flag is just a slightly modernized Starfleet flag
@MinWiii Space will be boring until we have a warp drive. We can send probes everywhere in our star system so there's no point in sending humans because it's risky. Unfortunately if we do develop a warp drive I'm afraid we might send automated ships rather than inhabited ones, which would be super unfortunate because it would result in potential misunderstandings with other species, and would rob people of the ability to explore the galaxy. Magellan didn't use a drone to chart the tip of South America, he took his own ship right through it.
Technology has stagnated because there is no incentive for innovation. If anything there's an intentional effort to stop progress. If people weren't so tied to oil or afraid of atoms we'd probably have functional nuclear fusion by now. The tech we have now is dumb stuff like NFTs. Cooler things include the vaccine and other medical advancements, but those aren't as big because a little bit of liquid doesn't look as cool as a rocket. Also SpaceX is making advancements in the private space industry it's just a) not what the media really focuses on, and b) everyone kind of thinks Elon is a joke anyways so people don't take it super seriously.
These all things ever existed because of competition and Wars. And i think this world doesn't has any competition.
Please i am not encouraging anybody to start any war or something. No violence
Um is that kinda contradictory all of the creations were created by war and theirs no competition the creations above most of the creations were to do with war the only reason they were made was to fight but look at boom technology the XB1 aka baby boom is the brain child for a potential new Supersonic race new planes are out on the market like the A220 Boeing is building the 777X and apparently is considering building the 797 a short to medium hull plane to replace the 757 and 767 fighters are now entering 5th gen the f22 f35 and Russia's Su 57 Northrop Grumman is now building the b 21 Rader a smaller variant of the B2 spirit their is plenty happening you just need to look and search
