I’m very hyped and must share everywhere, I bought an airplane, which is a 1960 Piper Tri Pacer, with the 160hp engine on it

@JohnnyBoythePilot after one month of having the tri pacer, I can gladly say I like it over the 172, it flies very very well, 10/10 would recommend
It does all airwork you want beautifully and easily with just one finger on the controls, it flies almost perfectly straight for like 5 min when trimmed out, and it feels like it will fly with what ever you can fit into it, granted it may need more runway to do so
@JohnnyBoythePilot thanks! Yeah they are highly underrated airplanes, I’m very impressed with mine so far, the only thing with them is that sink rate, it’s like a brick attached to a piano chained to a anvil, it has the worst glide ratio of any airplane other than the space shuttle lol
But regardless it’s a beautiful airplane that flies very well, idk why people flocked to the 172 over this wonderful airplane
It truly is one of those hidden gems of general aviation
DUDE congratulations! Let me know how it goes flying the Tri-Pacer. They seem like a great budget buy and are very underrated IMO. I'd love to get a Pacer someday and trick it out for STOL. 180HP, VG's, supercub gear, modernized panel, Alaska bushwheels, drooped tips, climb prop, and dual seaplane doors. I've seen a couple of Pacers at my local airport (AWO) that were tricked out for STOL and they are absolutely SICK!

@T8flightcrafts from what I gathered, as long as it’s in good condition it should last as long as you can keep it that way, mine had its fabric re done in like 78 or 80 something and it’s in really good condition, just was re pained in 2017

@MrSilverWolf I would say in the condition it's in and the fact that I have no knowledge on aircraft prices, I will say it was at the least $20-30k US.
Has about the same speed and gas mileage as a sports car, but you dont have to worry about cops or red lights. Nice.
