SimplePlanes to SimpleRockets 2 craft converter

1,865 Pashog  3.4 years ago

The converter works pretty well for most crafts, but some post-processing will be required.
It can be run as a python script or as a windows executable (you can find it here).

@HNL47 it was packaged using Pyinstaller, so there is actually an entire Python interpreter inside.

@Pashog I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but it's coming out as a plane file. Not an XML

And how do you import them into SR2 with just the file?

@Pashog Nevermind, i put in the whole link to the craft and not specifically the id. I misunderstood

Amazing! Now I can build my stuff in SP, which I understand, and then convert it over to SR2! You're a lifesaver.

@Kittyhawk909 this is python code packaged using pyinstaller, probably a false positive by your antivirus. If you don't trust the exe you can run the converter from source or decompile the exe using something like Uncompyle and see that there's nothing malicious there

@SupremeDorian So u mean it should not fall in the wrong hands, I agree with you but there are some users who will still do it.

@AN2Felllla Please don't do that, just make original crafts or re-make your SP stuff from scratch. This is a cool tool, but it should not be used for abusive purposes.
