hello guys, as you know and that I know that and I ended up getting very sad about it, our dear Sadboye12 ended up leaving simpleplanes.
and this is no joke, as he had said that he had given up on simpleplanes, and that he would stop playing this game.
and this post serves to honor our greatest futuristic vehicle builder who has ever been on simpleplanes, I hope you come back one day on this site.

my next construction will be in honor of this legend that ended up leaving simpleplanes, we will miss you
I hope it isn't a hard-quit, but just the realization that he should perhaps spend some of the time doing other things.
.
Playing a game is not about whether there is tangible reward to be obtained or achieved, it's about doing something you like and find fun. Too little in life provides us with that kinda of unrelenting joy, so removing it from your life entirely doesn't sound like the best idea... (in my unprofessional opinion)
.
On the flip side, if you are spending too much time doing what you enjoy, to the point it is in fact preventing you from doing more productive things (by consuming all your time), be them things you really should be doing but aren't -or- just things you feel would be better suited for you to spend your time on... Then certainly, realizing that you need to do that is not bad.
.
So the take away here I suppose is whether you -- people in general, but Sadboye as well -- are spending a lot of your free time playing SP because you are genuinely having fun, or whether you're spending the time you should be working/studying/etc and are perhaps legitimately "addicted" to the game?
The former would simply merit some self control and cutting back on how much time you put in. Even if that means setting simple alarms on your phone as a reminder, there's nothing wrong with that and would simply be you acting responsibly.
The latter would probably be a case where quitting entirely is perhaps the best choice, at least for the time being. Once you can get into a routine that rewards you (dopamine release), then perhaps SP won't be able to have that some all-consuming grip on your life.
@Sadboye12 Thanks for your help, tips, and for sharing with us so many of your insanely incredible/amazing/beautiful/elegant/creative builds!! ❤️
Take care, and hope you'll indeed be able to come back soon. See ya around! :)
Our comrade will be missed
@Default4 I'm currently making futuristic houses that are really cool, nothing else compares to the futuristic style of Sadboye12, my next construction will be in honor of him, I'll finish soon
@AWESOMENESS360 unfortunately not everything lasts forever, goodbye to Sadboye12
Goodbye to an absolute legend. Sadboye12 was probably the only thing that made me boot up this game for a while. Their creations were absolutely beautiful, at the peak of function, and somehow still with low part counts. I'm sorry to see them go, but glad they're moving on to better things and tools. SimplePlanes never quite did their visions justice.
While I didn't personally like him, his builds style is one that nobody could recreate in a fashion he could.
Godspeed, Sadboye.
Sadboye12 was one of my favorite builders here, their creations are some of the most beautiful works I’ve ever had the privilege to lay my eyes upon.
Farewell friend, Godspeed.
@CC1010 it was really cool, you know?
Yeah my comment was kinda based on that quote. @FabioGalvao5679
@CC1010 or also "don't be sad that it's over, be happy that it existed"
I accompanied him since he had built the XT-C 02 Mother, the best ship he ever made, in my opinion
@Formula350 You were very wise now, and yes, I like simple planes, but I don't spend many hours playing, I have self-control of these things, it's good to play, yes, but don't be addictive.
@FishMiner I'm rooting for that, he's one of my favorite simple plane builders.
@rexzion he didn't go out literally, but he stopped playing for a long time, to completely quit simpleplanes you need to delete your account on simpleplanes site, which would result in the loss of all your posts
@V yes, i had tried to talk to him on Discord but no answer, i thought it was strange
@jamesPLANESii I had tried to talk to him in Discord but no response, maybe he's been in Blender a lot longer than in any other app
@goboygo1 he said it went to Blender, but for another application I don't know
Lol
Dont be sad he left. Be happy he was here, best spiders ive ever drove.
he'll be back
how do you just "quit" sp
tell him to use something powerful, like solidworks, as if your planning on going somewhere with CAD or 3d modelling, blender isnt the industry standard, and you will have to learn something new
I doubt he's fully leaving. Tbh I've had the same thoughts my self but I have no idea how to use any other apps, and the YouTube courses I've watched don't show you enough soon enough.
Dang, imma miss him, He was one of my favorite builders. I wonder if he has somewhere i can follow him to see his new, non-sp stuff.
moving to blender is p cool
