I've wrote a little script that Converts a single fuselage part into any desired number of evenly sized slices that form the exact same shape as the orginal.
Its an .exe file that runs in a command window (woo scary, but its really not)
you just enter the value, press enter and the program does all the scary math bits for you!
@FairFireFlight is this a mod?
Amazing, reduced my mistake and pain. Thanks
@FairFireFlight aight
@SPNonsensical no
will there be an option in the future to have different lengths per block?
@FairFireFlight tbf, not using it right is exactly what I expected, thanks for the help
@ZWLenning there isn't you just aren't using it write, its an "offset" and you're setting it to 1
just so you know, I think theres a bug in the software that makes the numbers for some fuselages one greater for some reason
I’m on iOS so yeah
I do use excel a bit sometimes for builds but most of it is head maths anyway. @BeryllCorp
This would be great for invasion stripes
Very cool!
I had to do this yesterday but instead with a calculator and paper.
@PlaneFlightX i just use MS excel when doing math with the same equations repeatedly.
.
@Kangy you can download MS excel on android, too. Then open it in window mode while you open SP in full screen.
.
Excel is an excellent tool when doing calculations on repeat.
I could use this! I constantly perform way too much math when doing control surfaces. I literally had two whole monitors with math and notes everywhere while I typed stuff into my calculator.
GOD MOBILE SUCKS SOMETIMES
cries in mobile
That's great! I've had to do this manually many times.
now making calculus integral slices in sp
@FairFireFlight oh ok
@MrShenanigans no they're still physical parts
So if you "slice” it, does the aircraft info in the number of parts say 1?
Very useful for camos, saves a bunch of time doing manual calculations
Nice idea
Neat!
