A Superb Soviet fighter-bomber, the Su-22M3 is the first vehicle I'm going to update with 1.12 features!
Su-22M3 Strike Aircraft.
Pros:
-High max speed and acceleration.
-Large payload capabilities.
-High precision weapons.
-Variable geometry wing.
Cons:
-Heavy and sluggish in turns.
-Large target.
-Limited gun ammo.
-Low amount of countermeasures.
History:
The Su-22M3 is one of the variants of the Su-17 strike aircraft series designed for export. A distinctive feature of the project was the adaptation of the Su-17M3 air-frame for the installation of the Tumansky R-29BS-300 engine, similar to the exported MiG-23’s R-29-300. It was assumed that the engine, familiar to foreign operators, would simplify the service and operation of the aircraft. Unlike the earlier simplified commercial versions, the Su-22M3 modification had avionics completely unified with the Su-17M3. The machine was produced in 1982-83 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, a total of 70 Su-22M3 units were built. These fighter-bombers were delivered to Hungary, Syria, and Iraq.
In SimplePlanes, this aircraft is gonna have a new weapons system, manually controlled Air to ground missiles, updated with a new cockpit, camouflage, reworked flight model and a lot of other small updates.
Equipped with a new kind of weapon system, it can carry 2x Kh-23M AGMs, and can be equipped with extra fuel tanks for extended range, AAM for air combat and/or self defense over the battle field.
Soon pilots will be able to reach out and touch the controls of this metal beast in VR, and non-VR users can still enjoy the brand new updated version of my old Su-22!
When? I need it now! please :(
