@DeezDucks Yeah and they run worse than MSFS on ultra settings on a 4K monitor. It's because they don't have any distance rendering. They stay at maximum resolution no matter how far away you are from it.
Same with the pine trees most people use on their maps.
@Inuyasha8215 You're right... This post is lame. Clearly taking the time to get some nice screenshots is for dummies; why put in the effort if using a boring screenshot from the side of your aircraft will still get the job done, right?
@jamesPLANESii I also noticed the low quality of the terrain being one of the main negative comments on YT reviews. It isnpired me to make this meme. :)
Seriously needs updating, especially with SPVR being just a flying game. One of the main comments I saw on the YT reviews was the terrain looks garbage.
The developers did choose a fixed terrain instead of a procedurally generated one. As their experience was limited at the time of when SimplePlanes was made, the terrain tend to primitive, especially Wright Islands with it’s distinctive texture.

Sp would be better graphically if they just changed the textures, the shading looks fine but the water and terrain textures look very dated
That makes me realize procedurally generated terrain would be so cool @Bellcat
