Edit: As WNP78 pointed out, the bio numbers are not serial numbers and don't necessarily relate to an account's age. However, since each user has a unique number, it still works as a numeric ID and it's still interesting to me
Sometime ago, users found a hidden bio link in the user post history page. By adding ?t=6
to the end of the posts page, i.e. /u/[ USERNAME ]/Posts?t=6
, you can find a link to the user's bio. This just redirects to the user page.
However, the bio link has a number to the end of it. For example, /Users/Bio/408893
I tried out different numbers and found that the smaller the number, the older the account tied to it. Assuming this, the oldest account to currently exist is /u/waveofthought
at number 3. The numbers 0, 1, and 2 all do not redirect to any account, instead redirecting to the homepage. This means that the accounts no longer exist.
There are exception to this, for example, /u/AndrewGarrison
which is a 6-digit number but is the real oldest account.
Here are some number-user pairs. Dates are as of May 18th, 2022. Interestingly, there are some anomalies:
00000000 (null)
00000001 (null)
00000002 (null)
00000003 waveofthought (7.6 years)

00250000 Pilotmario (6.5 years) (so guys we did it)
Currently invalid nuke codes
00408169 AndrewGarrison (7.7 years)
00408893 (me) (5.9 years)
The millionth user is Shadodoom
(2.9 years). They have won the game, there is nothing else to do now
Other findings:
- Not putting any number, or putting a non-number, e.g.
/AndrewGarrison
leads to a "website error" page. - Negative numbers are parsed correctly and redirect to the homepage.
- Leading zeroes on numbers are resolved as expected.
tl;dr simpleplanes is like your favorite east asian website
You can also report a bio but not go through with it. The url at the top of the report page will have the bio number
@hpgbproductions
I UPVOTED YOUR BIO!
I am going to make a forum post about this later, but first I am going to upvote some of my friend’s bios, and see what they think. This will be interesting to see their reactions.
@hpgbproductions
None, I don’t think, but I will upvote yours, and you can see what happens.
@Mousewithamachinegun122 read WNP78's comment carefully and study the upvote links >:))))))
Also how many points do bio upvotes give?
@hpgbproductions
YOU JUST UPVOTED MY BIO! How did you do that?
@Mousewithamachinegun122 ok i tried something
Sorry to devs if the database breaks, it's been a good run
Considering what you already know about this, would it be possible to upvote a bio post? If you changed the stuff again?
Goofy
Btw, My Account Is Numbered 1518171.
Secret Account Post Link
@Shadodoom
Before you ask anything, I'm 1241751.
@jamesPLANESii I was surprised to get some famous/high-point users when trying the funny numbers
I'm 17049 :)
It kinda cool that 42069 is a historically highly active user :)
@SheriffHackdogMCPE anonymous accounts did not exist; There were no accounts at first, and thus one wasn't required to post.
After accounts were added, some builds were migrated to the account of the user who built them, other builds, when the user wasn't known or didn't make an account, were left without a linked account and therefore remain anonymous.
@WNP78 I clicked that link and seeing the website change so much over the years was interesting
@U wait, anonymous accounts existed? (I thought the user who uploaded the corsair is the only anonymous user)
Thx for sauce
@WNP78
When the original Vertigo was posted 2 months ago
That archive page is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!
Question, when were the anonymous accounts removed? What was the last plane made by one?
What that is is the post ID for the biography, as the biography is handled similar to other posts like forums for the purposes of editing, reporting, removing etc. Users existed well before biographies implemented into the site so this isn't an accurate indicator of when an account was created, more so when their bio was created. Note that also post IDs are shared between all posts, so post ID 1 million doesn't make it the millionth user.
here's an old archive page of the site before biographies existed
As trivia: The first account created on the site is AndrewGarrison. Followed by PhilipTarpley, and an old account of Nathan's. First user account was HellFireKoder, followed by Nassassin.
