Hey everyone!
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post videos here...if not please let me know. But I've been loving Simple Planes and wanted to make a dogfighting/war stories video and just uploaded my first test to see what the response would be.
Don't rip me to shreds too hard over any aeronautical discrepancies or my poor dogfighting skills :P!

@XVIindustries truer word were never spoken sir. I think that is very true. It took some skill to get an enemy plane in your gunsight and shoot it down, now all you need to do is click some buttons and boom hes dead. Also, ww2 dogfights were close and personal, now you can kill a guy where he never sees you.
I have plenty of war stories on my page. Some are linked to the airplanes themselves, such as my Twin Pummeler. Others like the story about Thera Averof, Cleo Riga, Linda Weiss, and Pathfinder Guardian Daisy-021 are on the forum for all to read.
Wait you're adam bomb? .3.
Hey @Adambomb if you would check this out I would like to know your opinion. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/6m66K4/Browning-1919 you may have to copy past. Or find it on my page.
I really enjoyed the video! I'm looking forward to your next vid!
I found the video quite enjoyable I have some cool ww2 war birds if you would like to use one of them in one of your vids that would be awesome! there's so many interesting stories out there that need to be told so I'm looking forward to your next sp war stories video there more interesting to me then the other YouTubers videos
@XVIindustries No plans on doing any more recent aircraft stories, probably gonna be WW1-WW2 for a while
Meh, would prefer older war stories, more recent ones bore (me, as the fighter jet now becomes the skill, aiming and leading becomes locking on, and everything gets replaced by a computer, the pilot plays less of a part, while on the other hand ww1&2 stories are much more exiting as their aircrafts were more primitive, I mean one Canadian pilot was flying in cloud above no mans land with weather comditions poor, the un closed cockpit gets extremely cold, and he goes lower below the cloud, he goes into a loop, and suddenly his seatbelt snaps and he falls from his plane, and boom! He lands on the wing of his sopwith camel, and controls it with his feet until he gets back in,
Or say that time when a Messerschmitt flew through a b29's tail and the crew used the tail gunners parachute to tie the plane back together! Or when the radio operator of a Wellington bomber climbed out in enemy flak and put out an engine fire with his small fire extinguisher!
So yeah, there are some very exiting ones out there, I would try and look for them by seeing what medal the person received, if it's the Victoria cross, iron cross, hero of the Soviet Union or, medal of honour (the best medals you can get pretty much, not sure on other countries tho) then it will be a thrilling story of bravery, if it's something like the distinguished service medal or so,etching, then it will be for bravery (not as brave as above) or an extremely clever or lifesaving thing, (personally I find these stories very interesting) so yeah, find a few planes u like then see what war stories are to be found! Go for it m8! And make an awesome series! (PS: don't favour one country I saw a guy who did that and he got mobbed by angry Russians in the comments lol)
This was actually interesting. I'd heard the story before, but I liked hearing you retell it while flying the plane in discussion. That flying was really grinding my gears... GREAT VIDEO
Not bad, I enjoyed the story. Another youtube personality that I watch does war stories over fps game footage. It's rather entertaining. The only real suggestion I have (which will involve considerably more work) would be to try and recreate the stories that you are telling within the game. It would give the viewer a visual representation of what they are hearing, and enhance the viewing experience, in my opinion. But, I certainly like the direction you're going in with this.
@Skua I didn't even think of doing AI battles, thanks!
@AdamBomb that was an interesting story. I like that you actually did something different from all of the other channels just flying a selection of planes about, too. Maybe an interesting idea would be to do the dogfight against the other plane in the story? Doing a couple of runs with AI vs AI battles could be a good way to get footage of both planes.
@Skua Hey, that's awesome, thanks! I'm open to suggestions for stories/planes that people have too - and ideas about how to structure the episode. I was debating whether it would be fun for people to watch me dogfight, or if it should be random cool material

Videos are definitely allowed! Having a tag for it would be a bit weird otherwise. Spamming a whole ton would be frowned upon, but posting something you put effort in to and want to share is totally cool. I'll go watch it.
