Those who are in any servers with me on discord will know I'm beginning work on a Boulton-Paul Defiant NF.Mk.2. I plan to include fully functional radar, extremely accurate shaping, landing gear and guns, and it won't be finished for a very long time, probably in the order of several months. In order to get things started I'm currently starting on the 4 Browning .303 Mk. II guns in the turret.
First, the barrel.
Then I proceed to the rear half of the gun.
Add a couple of details and 158 parts later you get this:

Oh also it's 158 parts and there are going to be 4 of these. That's 632 parts of just guns

@ollielebananiaCFSP Yeah, the NF. Mk.II used an AI Mk.IV radar for pinpointing enemy bombers at night or in poor weather. Or as they told the Germans, their pilots ate a lot of carrots

@jamesPLANEScdxxLXIX not really, the rivets might be the one exception there. Everything else like the barrel requires the part count. I also just don’t really care, if it’s 632 parts of just gun then so be it, I’ll have 632 parts of just gun. I could have done even more parts but I didn’t want to start pushing 900
Ehhhh not really worth the part count imo. You could probably build that with 80% of the detail with just 30 parts...
