If you see this:

Do this:

Do not click any links you see in any of those posts. This will get your account hacked.

@SupremeDorian Wait, is this why the posts seemed to get autoremoved when I commented on them, because I shortly after reported the post? Did I just happen to be the 3rd report every time?

I thought the hacked accounts were deleting their posts on purpose to avoid detection.

I agree with SupremeDorian here. I have reported multiple of these and it seems that the moderators did their job pretty well. I encourage you all to do the same. Thanks.

Thank you PlaneFlightX for providing a very credible answer. I should have come up with that answer days ago. My bad. X/

Just to make this clear, reporting these is highly encouraged. I'm unsure if this applies to comments, but if three different users report a post it gets automatically removed for a moderator to review.

I think the reason these accounts are being hacked is reusing the same password across different sites. If one less secure site suffers a data breach, then that username and password can be tried on other sites, and if it works, then the account on that site is compromised.

On the topic of "commenting on the Veri**pro posts can get you hacked", no. Unless the hackers somehow compromise the SimplePlanes website itself (even then hacking users would be unlikely), you cannot get hacked if you don't provide any personal information or download malware.

My recommendations, at least for now, are pretty simple: change all your passwords to strong random character passwords (unique to each site), and don't click any suspicious link.

i see the devs have just done a cleanup, regardless, everyone, keep your eyes ahead and also watch your back though, there's always going to be more popping out

I've already spread the word to a non-SP server I'm in, in case it pops up elsewhere. Everyone stay vigilant and secure.

@SheriffHackdogMCPE I looked it up as well, it has very recent activity with most results being within the past 18 hours.

unfortunately, the situation doesn't happen only in SP, it's happening in all websites with forum pages (just noticed that upon looking up verifnoob)

@JeskoGoesVROOM I have reported every single one of those posts I have seen.

no idea if report-spamming is allowed, but i'll assume the devs and mods have common sense and they'll probably allow it for severe cases like this

How has that post been up for a hour are the mods sleeping? Or do they just not care

Do not comment on the posts either, as the hacked accounts delete them if they receive comments, probably in an attempt to hide that the account was compromised.
