Context
Recently there has been some sort of a bot outbreak in the site. In the forums section, there have been posts with a Ver^^Pro title containing a link. When said link is clicked, your account will be comprimised and Ver^^Pro will have access to your account. When it does, it will start posting forums like the one shown above with your profile, spreading the link to other unknowing users.
How to avoid this from happening
-As for the time being, it is reccomended that you frequently change your password, or use one very, very strong password (DO NOT use passwords you use in other websites).
-DO NOT click any links relating to Ver^^Pro. This will very likely lead your account into being comprimised.
-When you see a post with the title as shown above, REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY. This needs to be done in order to prevent other users who don't know about this problem from clicking the link and getting comprimised.
Stay safe, and Happy BotHunting folks!
Not actually how that works, since this account didn't get infected despite me literally sending the password and email to the verifpro site, but still good to spread awareness of this mess.
@iaseatsit I've experienced that too.
Probably just players without accounts that made an account just to upvote. Now, I'm not sure how they're able to upvote with 0 points but that's that ig
I don't know if it's bots or just new players but I feel like I'm being botted rn. Most of my upvotes are from players with no uploads or biography.
@SheriffHackdogMCPE My guy This is an emergency! The devs really need to improve the website security Fast!
@SheriffHackdogMCPE well lets pray for the sp community
Even the website needs to be quarantine lol
@Rjenteissussy these ar legit accounts but they were hacked and turned to spambots (I don't know how did they get the passwords and stuff but I think it was because the passwords were very easy to understand or the hackers were using some credentials thingy)
Also if you click that link its a phishing booby trap and it will steal info and stuff on your account and turn your account into one of them
Oh
Someone is making random accs and used those to infect more users lol
I hope Andrew and the Mods can rip it apart lol
@Dathcha thus the "change password" reccomendation
@Bellcat ah ok
I agree with this. Accounts have been hacked that are like 3 plus years old, and obviously not active anymore, which means they were not even on the site to click the link @temporaryplanetester
I sniped one out of existence
@IceCraftGaming, the link featured on the picture; it’s the link these compromised accounts are advertising.
@Bellcat which one?
I recommend you redact the link for safety reasons.
