Work Is In Progress! Pt.3

32.6k Cerdd  1.9 years ago

These planes have been the biggest pain me rear, so I hope you guys enjoy them xD

X-7A Koya (Previously known as "X-7 Dreamwrath")

X-8A Lightning (Previously known as "X-8 Quick Lightning")

X-9A Kagaku (Previously known as "X-9 Ghost")

Now, for some odd reason, ive had an issue with both the X-8 & X-9 where the flaps produce a downward pitch instead of a lift force, ive tried what's felt like everything at this point and I'm not completely sure what could be causing it, if you could help that'd be appreciated.

See ya when the next 3 are done, there's a lot of work to do..

@temporaryplanetester So an update, Apparently just simply removing the control surface and redoing it, fixes the issues.
Thanks SP physics. Very cool- xD

About the flaps you could try giving the wings containing them a negative liftScale, like -0.5 or -2 depending on how strong you need the flaps to be. (do note this inverts the lift the wings create, so you should put the flaps on a separate wing part if you try it)

No clue what causes this on the first place, but for me this was good enough of a fix.

Oh and btw liftScale is a hidden parameter the wings have, to set it, open the wing on overload, select the "Wing" category, add a new parameter with the + button, name it liftScale (case sensitive) and set the value to a number, which is a multiplier for the wing's lift.
