Should SimplePlanes make multiplayer part of the game, officially? Even though the mod is kinda “official”, shouldn’t it be expanded? What I mean by official, is that you can open the game and see on the sandbox tab, “Multiplayer.” It would make the game more enjoyable as well. Instead of having a mod downloaded, you have it as a addition to the game. (Not addons)
Just a thought, nothing much.
Should Multiplayer be part of SP?

@jamesPLANESii That's also assuming that mobile devices could handle it. I know that some mobile users can run 1000+ parts with little to no problem, but that's not the case for others. MP would likely need to be adjusted to accommodate devices with lower processing power.
I would imagine the reason Jundroo has not yet added MP as a stock feature is that it simply isn't practical (from a statistical/logical standpoint).
@TheFlightGuySP If you can run an AI plane on your phone, you can play MP with your friends.
Jundroo is missing a HUGE opportunity by not adding MP to SP. Honestly.
But yeah it does cost money to run MP servers.
It would be for PC only (mobile devices cannot have MP for a number of reasons).
Of course, at that point theres not much of an advantage for including it with the stock game.
They should definitely add multiplayer.
Make it subscription based,infinite flight is mobile and has a huge multi player sub base.
I'd pay
Absolutely, I think MP would be a cool addition to the base game. At the very least just integrate the mod
Yes I think it should be, if it can be
Multiplayer can work on mobile devices, although the game typically needs to be built around that functionality. Example of the type of MP i want to see in SimplePlanes
@TheTomatoLover he did mention a possibility of SP2 , the reason this would be useful is that the game could have multiplayer as a primary feature instead of trying to fit it in with 8 year old code. Some things are simply too complicated to work with SP's current code.
@32 there’s a possibility for a SP2? Wouldn’t it be better to stick to one IP instead of 2?
Maybe sp2 will have native mobile multiplayer. I believe that as of right now it is technically unfeasible to incorporate that into the game's code.
Maybe the MP system can be made more simple by not using Servers? Like you can join to someone's game by using special codes but the game will only limit it to few players?
@Defalt1 that is a good point, I mean, at least they aren’t a greedy game company-EA, 343; I’m talking about you.
@TheTomatoLover So what by giving them free? The original price of the game is not even enough to cover a long term multiplayer server hosting. Remember that Jundroo is a indie game developer and not triple A studios.
@SILVERPANZER that is true.
Right now, I am running on the Ti-Nspire. I continue getting massive lag, and loading times. It is unclear the cause. Mainly because my Calculator is a superior high quality computer.
Sorry, lag, uh-. -..—-.-/.
@Defalt1 raising the price or adding transactions is a pain for the community, so if they did do that, it would risk their reputation and sales.
@Sparky6004 what’s the situation?
No
In an in ideal world, yeah, but for reasons I dont want to get into for the sake of not writing a 500 word essay, Im afraid its a longshot.
@jamesPLANESii Assuming MP was readjusted to work on mobile devices, the mod itself might work.
But that won't solve the issue of limited server capacity. It'd be hard to enjoy MP when the one server that we have (publicly, and functional) is constantly overflowing with so many users.
Now, if mobile users could set up their own servers so that overloading becomes less of an issue, but I'm not sure if mobile devices can act as a server (some might).
This would be easier to solve if we had a wide variety of servers to choose from, but we don't have that luxury at the moment.
Yes I hope SP 2 gets Multiplayer imagine the Dogfights or other battles @Sparky6004
With a recent “situation’” that has been occurring, it would need a lot of work and changes to be an official implementation.
That may never come to this game, but hoping SP2 would get it.
@Defalt1 Microtransactions are awful, I sure hope this game doesn't go that route.
Not worth it for mp alone. Especially since it'd still only work on PC due to technical limitations, the same way as it does now for free.
Server hosting is not cheap, if they want to implement it then there will be some microtransaction going on in the game or the game price will be rised or even a subscribtion system for Multiplayer
