I put 64GB of RAM in my laptop so I can run 15 part builds in SimplePlanes now. I might become active again but I mostly play Juno now and I don’t post what I build often anymore so I don’t know, I just haven’t posted in a while so sorry if you expect that.

    @korza Indeed, as well as the fact that this is the maximum amount my CPU can take. The 8/16GB module guideline is a suggestion, not a rule.

    You put new 64gb ram. Now you are going to play games for over 9000 minutes.

    That's 16 times the amount I have, I think you won't need another upgrade for a few decades

    @ToeTips I like to follow the old 1 part per one gig of ram rule personally.

    @BeastHunter @32
    That's cap, 64gb of ram should be able to run a 64 part build. That's just the rules, I don't make them

    @100 That’s DIMM RAM and it’s about twice the size of the SODIMM chips I have. My old RAM wouldn’t fit in it anyways.

    @32 It is a lot, I was originally looking at 32 but I decided on 64 just because. And I’m not sure I could quite manage the tutorial plane, it has too many parts.

    64 gigs is a lot of ram for a laptop
    If I had that much I might even be able to build the tutorial plane!

    @100 DIMM is desktop/PC, SODIMM is laptop. The RAM I have is DDR5 SODIMM, and it’s unlikely that a windows 8 computer would be compatible with that.
