SP-43 Prototype unveiled at air show
SP Aircraft Developement unveiled their MiG-23 oriented SP-43-100 Multirole Fighter in a stunning air show over the 36/18 Runway of the Wright isles, where it was able to shoot a line of targets set up in an ambush position while losing 10 meters of altitude due to the gun angled downwards. It was also capable of doing some tight turns that looked a bit like a Cobra thanks to its thrust vectoring engine, which has a special engine nozzle adjusted for maximum power at low altitude and no afterburner, which is the main ground attack pattern this plane will use. For air combat the wings swing back and thrust vectoring gets enabled with afterburner on, which will give it good acceleration and the highly requested fast turn rate. No further information is known, but it leaked that the engineers will make a 2-seater carrier capable version.
