The reason why I ask is the last time I posted something a friend said they couldn't load it because they're using the old Simple Planes.

So I removed the new fancy lever for the original one. and removed the turn switch with the original switch and my friend was able to load, fly and enjoy it.

Finally, this last build, I posted two versions of my plane. One version for new Simple Plane users and one version for old Simple Plane users.

The old version is being downloaded much more than the new one
.
So I'm thinking why don't I stop using the new fancy levers and switches on my builds. After all I want everybody to be able to enjoy them.

Z😹@Gro I'm running the latest version it could be construed as a "beta" version. it has different switch choices and lever choices. Plus whatever the original designers put into the new program.

I think that's their problem. There's no reason why someone can't have the latest version of SP...
@Zaineman I don’t think you’ll lose your subassemblies, if you’re worried about it you can always go to your file folder and back them up to somewhere else.
@HuskyDynamics01 the main issue is that 1.12.200 caused a lot of mod maps to lose their textures due to a loss of compatibility, which is why many PC users (including me) use 1.12.128 instead.
Also @Zaineman, there’s a hack that other players can use to get around the new parts. Just click the undo button and then the redo button, and the aircraft will appear.
I think some android players that can't accept the truth that mods can't run on their devices so they still play on the old version where mods can run on mobile (sorry android users, cause I'm also a mobile player and have had my fair share of frantically downloading mods just waiting for them to load)
I'm afraid if I go back to the original simple planes (which I want to) I will lose my subassemblies. 😿 Z

I updated, but I think the new version is slightly more laggy. Not downgrading yet

I think a lot of people are still on v1.12.1 because v1.12.2 (the most recent one) only added a few new parts and bugfixes (as well as a few new bugs, cough Wright Final Approach AI spawn cough) in addition to some backend things that most users won't know or care about. 1.12.2 also introduced an unfortunate warning/error spam in the console when connected to a server via the multiplayer mod, which has yet to be fixed and makes keeping up with chat messages or other console commands significantly more difficult.
I'm with PlaneFlightX on this (plus the new levers and switches are objectively very neat), but that's my thoughts on why a lot of people have skipped the update.
