I originally got SP in 2014, and made my first ever account in 2015, The game was very popular in 2016, it had many large content creators making lets plays on it, but the game has a major problem, you cant really create content for it for a prolonged period, which meant its relevancy from sites like Youtube quickly dropped off within a couple of years. The game peaked long ago, and many people seem to forget that simpleplanes, always has and always will be a mobile game, that has a PC port. This game was not visioned to be gigantic, Jundroo 100% did not expect to handle to huge success of SP, its ran its course longer than most other mobile games would, SP is definitely fading out, but it had a good run.

I think SP will slowly die until 2025, due to the weak last update, the release of Flyout and the actions of the negative part of the community mocking newcomers.

The builds on the front page have definitely been going down in quality. A lot of people who used to be here frequently have all but stopped posting. The game isn't going to be getting any more updates, so yeah it's probably dying

I think Jundroo is giving up on the simple planes. I know they still post about sp in youtube, but the games updates are rare and usually bring few things. Because of that i think many players get the non original version, as they dont need to dowload more than one just for update the game. All my friends dont have the original simple planes.

Tbh it is definitely falling off a bit now without any new updates and new games coming out.

Ye the devs have done a bad job making the final update futureproof, since it didn’t fix any of the things players have been begging for for years. Multiplayer isn’t necessary, but tank tracks and updated tutorials sure would be nice. Also, tournaments, which the devs seemingly ended for no reason (years ago). And there are no moderators who are currently active, so unless something gets reported it will potentially never get taken down.

Yes, there’s not enough new players coming into the game to replace the countless number of players who leave.

I think with even a little advertising this problem would be solved.
