It’s been a total of 7 months since I started on SPMR in July of 2023.
Here’s my original post on me asking the community if I should build SPMR.
SPMR has come such a long way from that original post.
I honestly intended for this to be a simple track with 4 stations, but halfway through I was inspired by quite a few other maps and decided to make it a city. And it all went out of hand from there (lol).
You will never be able to grasp how long I've spent tweaking the track to make sure that trains can run on it, and how much frustration it has brought me. But at the end of the day, when I run my favourite trains around the line, it gives me a feeling of satisfaction I can't describe in words.
Yes, if you didn't already guess it:
SPMR is complete!
The tunnel after Embley opens up to a section of the city. Crossing the track is a disused rail viaduct that's been turned into a park.
Hartsford station.
You can now drive one complete round around SPMR! (driving anti-clockwise may not work and has not been tested)
Redesigned tunnel, with more static trains!
Redesigned Embley station. The curved walls are much less imposing.
MTR M-train from 1714 that I'm heavily modifying, with an improved colour scheme, better connectors and better front design.
Modified CRH2A from 1714.
Thanks for all the support that you've given me in the last 7 months, and thanks for requesting to be tagged on this amazing project! It's been a wild ride, and it seems to be ending soon.
Before I post this, however, I'll be making a teaser video. Yes, it will be my first video teaser, and I hope it turns out well. See you!
And if you haven't yet:
T to be tagged on SPMR, and
RAIN to be tagged on the trains!
Part count: 2147
Drag points: 0

@destroyerP definitely not based off the MRT’s signage lol
the station name signage looks oddly familiar huh
Oh boy I can't wait to test my southern Pacific sd-40

I did say T and rain when you were still starting it
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes also, I enabled part collisions on some parts of the road in the early access, because cars fell through them. For the highway bridge offramps/onramps (near Grunwick), I enabled part collisions on the light grey parts, instead of the actual road, to make it possible to get on them. The only things that I haven’t solved are the little diagonal side roads next to the onramps/offramps near Meridian.
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes thanks
@L3FT2R1GHT
1) it’s technically already done, but I want to make the trailer video before I release it
2) sure, I’ll add the logo
T rain
@MrSilverWolf yes indeed
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes how many days left before this is complete? (I'm very eager to try it out!) (Also, if you want, and if it isn't too hard, you can slap on a logo saying "Roberts Industry" in military font on any building, to make Roberts Industry Headquarters)

2147 parts really isn’t that bad. I mean, it’s a lot, but considering the size and detail that’s actually pretty impressive.
