The 1950s can be considered a golden age of automotive design. The past ww2 era brought the national highway system and modern cars and the explosion of sports cars in america with the introduction of the mighty C1 Corvette and the Ford Thunderbird. This time also brought along one of the most important engines, the Chevy small block, and this car is one of the first to ever have it, with the legendary 265 V8 engine. The 55 bel air is a very iconic car of the era, and is cemented in its place as one of the greatest cars to come out of the 1950s.

what is left

• the steering wheel, pedals, speedometer, and interior door handles
• final engine details like battery and lower rad hose modeling
• make the trunk openable and add spare tire
• scaling and final testing

I plan on doing multiple different factory colors for this. Most likely the purple will be replaced with a factory color but if you think i should keep the purple for the main post then please tell me. I plan on doing 5 solid colors and 5 two tone versions. I also plan on making a gasser and a pikes peak hill climb version of it like i did for the 57 bel air. Depending on how i feel after that i might remaster thr 57 bel air as well but i do have a back log of builds i wanna do as it is.
