[teaser] A french build that is NOT a guillotine

59.3k TheMouse  8 months ago

I have been working on a more realistic replica for the monarchii war. It is a Dassault Ouragan. It is actually the first plane I have used blueprints with, so I have tried to make it as realistic as possible. I intend to post it tomorrow, or the day after, so the war can resume, however, I will have to talk to the rest of my side in the war, before we can start. Here are some pictures.
(Btw, I used imgbb for the images, so hopefully everyone can see them)

I still have a bit to do on the paint, but everything else is mostly done. The hardest part was getting the landing gear working right. Here is a picture of how the paint will be when it is done (credit wikipidia)

Anyway, upvote this post, "croissant" or "T" for tag!

@Mousewithamachinegun122 Well, I don't think I specified very well, I think it's called a vertical stabilizer, or to be clearer, the tail looks a little thick, just like the horizontal stabilizers.

I just fixed the wings, and that was not very difficult. What do you mean by the trim tab though?

First of all, lower the thickness of the wings and a little of the tanks and you could improve the trim tab because it looks somewhat round and in the real image it looks somewhat flat. I know it's a lot to ask for but you could do it.

That worked perfectly. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for that suggestion. I will try it.

@Mousewithamachinegun122 I think you should use a circular corner instead of curved corners for your wings, might help "slim" the wing down without being inaccurate to the blueprints

Now I have NEVER seen it spelled like that before, but I guess I will have to accept it ;)

That’s what I thought too, but according to the blueprints, they are actually a bit thin. Do you think I should make them a bit thinner anyway?

@Mousewithamachinegun122 It looks pretty good, but the wings are too fat.
