How many of the people on this site use a mobile device for play? How many use a desktop?
Desktops are, to my understanding (and depending on OS), compatible with mods and have Maywar, which I don't believe mobile devices have? Or at least, iOS and Android.
Desktops, presumably, have a much higher power ceiling, although this is highly dependent on model and age.
I don't know whether mobile has any useful equivalent to Mouse Joystick, which is an extremely useful feature for fine flight control, weapon aiming, and trim control. It's far easier to pull off a smooth turn or maneuver with mouse joystick than jerking about tapping WASD, but I don't know if onscreen thumbsticks can achieve similar results seeing as they're far smaller than an entire desktop screen. Deadzone size?
Mobile devices, on the other hand, can be far more convenient and permit work just about anywhere, whereas using a desktop may very well require you make a day of SimplePlanes. Laptop may be better than a stationary computer, but still less convenient than a smartphone.
Personally I do almost all of my craft sharing business from a 2019 Mac. It's incredibly slow to boot (some undiagnosed problem, Steam often needs repeated force-quits to get it to work. War Thunder, before compatibility was lost, was even worse), and really isn't all that powerful, but I find the controls serviceable enough. Being able to use AGs, and other such things, without losing the Nav Bar is handy, even if I still haven't memorized all keybindings, or bound some actions to actually useful singular keys instead of crazy default combinations.
I believe SimplePlanes was originally a mobile game, and I guess that shows with all the onscreen buttons and, if my memory serves, option to enable onscreen thumbsticks on Desktop.
But what do you people use?

Sometimes I browse the forums on computer and make posts on computer but for building stuff I do mobiles now for non simple planes related stuff tbh im starting to use my PC more then my phone now that Its setup
I use mobile and VR and that’s it. I can’t make shit tho so it doesn’t matter. I’m an iPad kid cus my parents won’t let me buy a computer

My aircraft are made with mobile's touchscreen controls in mind
I also test them on laptop to make sure pc players (joystick) can also use them to their full potential
@Graingy have you thought about Homebrewing it? If it turns on and at least mostly works, you can use it to play SNES games and lightweight stuff like that.

I play on a ipad mostly and ever now and than my laptop but is is worse than my ipad.
