i recently (not even 24 hour ago) found out what script the devs used to texture the islands....... and it freaking works........

you may remember a video i put out of a map addon that would have an accurate sized carrier which was many months ago now. that has, spiraled into something far bigger than i thought it would back then, and in the time in between then and now i have learned how to make map objects in blender


the first of many islands included in this mod, Sultan Island, is a small landmass about half the area of wright that's situated east of the area between wright and krakabloa. the other island's terrain is mostly complete, though with no textures and no completed structures to speak of (and will likely be a post-release update because it is l a r g e ). in addition to adding more islands, i have also added many new airfields to the existing islands, with at least one completely new field on each, and the 4 original (paved) airports receiving updates, additions, and/or quality of life improvements, one of them being completely redone and the old one covered up.

edit: i forgot to mention theres a 3rd island but ummm





not all assets are finished and anything in these screenshots are subject to change between now and the mod's release state, which I am expecting the mod to be out sometime around early summer this year. i am doing my best to make my to-do list smaller instead of continuously adding more ideas so i can actually call it finished at some point; though dont expect any concrete release date most likely it will just appear one day
