Recently, Andrew and the rest of the devs have been much more active, updating and fixing the site in preparation for sp2. This has been great, and here are some suggestions I have, and some minor glitches.

1. Create a new rank.

In the words of former moderator EternalDarkness, “it's outdated. It needs new ranks, as there's nothing left to motivate users who have passed twenty five thousand points.” He said this over 3 years ago, and the problem has only gotten worse. I suggest a green rank, similar to the old badge, which would be for everyone over 100 thousand. (Or 50k, but 100 seems better)

2. Fix tagging old usernames.

As of just 5 seconds ago when I tested this, tagging a persons old username does NOT give the person a notification. This is very annoying, and it has caused me to miss tag people many times.

3. Create a “challenges” section.

Right now, challenges are just builds, modified to be a challenge. However, this creates a problem. Say I am bored, and want to join a challenge. How do I find one? I have to go look through tons of posts in the “hottest” section, until I find a challenge. And even then, it may not be the kind of challenge I like. A “challenges” section would allow challenges to function much better. For example, challenges would give much less points per upvote, but would get more points for the entries. This would also allow the owner of the challenge to “disqualify” entries that do not follow the rules, so they would not be in the way.

4. A way to see your followers.

I have 190 followers. Wow, great, but who are they? They choose to follow me, and obviously they want to see my builds. People can literally see almost anyones following list, (unless they disabled it) so being able to see your followers would be a welcome change.

5. A way to edit your thumbnails after being posted.

Not being able to edit your thumbnails after being posted is one of the biggest needs for the website. I have seen countless times people trying to change the thumbnail, and being unable to. (and spending time asking the mods to change it, which could be used for other purposes) Being able to upload different pictures would be super helpful, especially for putting multiple pictures in thumbnails.
Yes, I realize this could be misused. Someone could set their picture to something against the rules. (Read: porn) but this seems to already be an issue, as at this point, anyone can set a custom thumbnail, via the game. This system could actually be even more secure than the original system, because you would need 1000 points to change the thumbnail.

6. Comment sub threads.

This is just for saving space a bit. (Posts with over 100 comments, and tons of different conversations can be a bit hard to follow.) I am imagining this would work very similarly to reddit, or such things. This would both save space, and keep conversations contained.

7. Add the “no Honda” rule to the rules.

I see a lot of newer players accidentally doing this, and having it in the rules would be super helpful, as it is not super commonly known.

I do not claim to be the “inventor” of any of these ideas. I just want to repost some of them, now that the devs are doing some more stuff. Hopefully, Andrew will see some of these, and put them in.
