What do you play on?

59.0k TheMouse  5 months ago

I use a fairly new iPad. (I used to use an old one, that was actually older than the game simple planes, but recently my dad got a new iPad, and gave me his old one, which is way newer.) I was just wondering what the coronation between device and max number of parts runnable was. For example, on that old iPad, I could run 50 parts max in high physics. (One of the reasons I liked making PEA) I could do a lot more in low physics (with admittedly very long load times) as testified to by my first post. However, with that post, the iPad crashed so many times, I almost considered making something else many, many times. This new iPad I have not really tested max parts too much, but I suspect it can do a lot, as I have run 1000 part builds no problem in high physics mode. (Ridiculous!)
Anyway, what do you use to play? What’s your load time, and max part count like? I wanna hear a bit about what the majority of people are able to run.

Lol, that would be funny. I doubt it though, as the one he gave me is actually quite nice, and I doubt he wants to buy another ipad already.

@TheMouse You should ask your dad, giving me an example- swiping iPads. If he agrees, you might get a new one. Ha ha

iPad Pro 15-inch is about 6 years old but still quite capable of going with 1500 parts in high physics. I am also using it for my digital painting and illustration projects

And on my computer it can run 1300 to 1500 parts or 5000 to 6000 performance cost in low physics on a great day

Mine is a IPad that can run around 1300 parts on low physics and still work or around 3000 to 4000 performance cost
