My SPH/G is almost ready for release.
The Self Propelled Howitzer/Gun i have been working on for the past few days is almost ready for release. But i am facing accuracy issues. Adding support legs should solve it (I hope). At the moment the shots are landing few hundred meters away. But they are not that far off. What's causing this is the slight roll and pitch angle (around 1 degree) adding up with the firing solution, which offsets the shots. The further away the target the lower the accuracy. I fixed the pitch angle by simply doing elevation output - pitch angle of turret
. But can't do that for the roll angle. So, I am planning to add support legs that will raise the whole thing above ground (slightly).
since you made it this far, here's some specifications of the tank
-185mm main gun with 600m/s muzzle velocity. Uses High explosive shells. A proximity shell is also planned.
-RCWS Turret with 20mm auto cannon and a 50mm grenade launcher.
- calculates firing solution automatically by selecting a target or by inputting target coordinates. Can be used in anti tank role. Because it's not that agile, One on one tank duel is not recommend. Instead Shoot and Scoot.
