Are one part canopies essential for mobile friendly builds? what's your opinion?

Basically what the title says, i need opinions if one part canopies are essential for low part builds or hollow glass fuselage are acceptable?

This question comes up because i noticed the glass fuselage parts have a quite high cost.

Just keep the plane below ~200 parts and then it’s mobile friendly to my standards

Nah, almost all of my PEAs in the past use full-custom canopies.

the site constitutes mobile friendly as being below 300 parts, so honestly it's not essential, given how you can also save part counts with being conservative with your glass fuselage.

imho, you should only really use 1 block canopy parts when you're pushing part efficiency to it's near limit or when you're really lazy.

@Randomplayer each hollow glass fuselage part takes 10.5 performance cost, not that i really know how to quantify it tbh.

@ollielebanania as someone with a pretty poopy computer i believe its a good thing to save performance on low part builds, since they are meant to be mobile friendly, though goes for each preference tbh.

@BaconEggs yeah lmao i agree i tried modifying a rafale to have a moving custom canopy but it freaking WOBBLES in flight, unlike the prebuilt canopies, still decent at fixed canopies tho.

@MonsNotTheMonster i try that at least, it's kinda hard.

To everyone, else thanks for the opinions!

You can go detail a glass canopy and make it low parts at the same time

I used 3 glass fueslages to make a ok canopy for a ww2 plane. To make a good one you probably need around 4 to 6 maybe idk canopy parts are easier but they dont work for me for a vareity of builds

No but canopy parts should be minimized

So looks over performance ? It's an interesting question, I do think that looks are more important than performance, but is it the case in a low parts build ?

Not really. I would say just go with the glass canopy. What’s the cost for the glass?
