i still distinctly remember a bunch of these unused zero point accounts, with the most random word possible, sitting completely untouched for decades while i was scrolling down the accounts list or whatever out of curiosity, can someone please tell me why these accounts even existed in the first place?

and if anyone is seriously doubtful about it, go ahead and look up any word, regardless of how random they were, and atleast one of these accounts will pop up in the search results

Just another comment, I have a few speculations of why this happened, either
1.) People wanted to download “orange download button” (planes with high part counts) (you need an account to download them)
2.) Those were test accounts
3.) Troll accounts
