cool the room slightly (hot country moment)
if it doesn't work, force noisy data through your processing unit to clear the ram and use up your energy reserves
avoid accidentally creating structured data as it will occupy your memory and act as an uninterruptible process, preventing suspension of the processing unit
1 Do some exercise before bed (just push-ups/sit-ups are fine)
2 Listen to music that I will somewhat focus on and interrupt my thoughts
3 Just close my eyes and fall asleep
4 Put my room to like 66*F and Burrow into my 5 blankets
5 Wrap my blankets around myself like someone is hugging me tightly (wow that sounds sad)
6^Any combination of the above
• take a hot shower before bed.
• relax every muscle in your body.
• listen to soothing sounds (depends on your taste)
These are some of the things I remember hearing somewhere that may or may not help you sleep. Or just look for a YouTube video on the topic. There are plenty of them. There are videos on how to lucid dream and how to get sleep paralysis if you are really into it.
There are better things that can put you in a deep sleep than a hammer if you ask me.
On a serious note, I don't have any trick. I just lay down and eventually fall asleep.

Literally and figuratively speaking.
Get hit by a frying pan by your girlfriend. It may make you sleep in an instant, but it will cost you an arm and a leg.
